So no update from you on Thailand especially PEA sector after giving us something a year old and trying to make it look current.
What are your thoughts on CC submitting a proposal to PEA Budgetary year. Wonder if that was at the direct request of PEA or via JST/Forth. That would be a massive contract if offered with 24m customers. What do you think Colour?

Hello Colour, it was you who brought up Thailand, PEA, Itron. Just because you missed this big event don't try to side track it.
'Deflection' should be your middle name. I see no reason why CC should not do very well in Thailand especially being considered in PEA current Budget round. there is a lot of money to be made in Thailand via JST and Forth.
I think you should get yourself up to date Colour.

Sorry zoggz that's was just chatting to the blokes building the metal framework. I was most surprised to see piles for an ordinary extension and about six. I understood it was new rules. Do not know if perimeter footing as well.
It would pay to ask Havering Building Regs Dept.
Had the word piling on van but may be was just reinforced, they went vertically into the ground.

Well if you insist Colour, from chatting with the hands like you do I understand that there are new rules, would you believe it, regarding footing and pilings. Somebody here probably knows.
In London this sort of extra work must run the site into hundreds of thousands, just 3ft/4ft footings when I had mine done but then the buildings are worth a million plus.

As an aside yes it is a very expensive extension and they have taken 3 weeks to pull the existing, expensive, extension down. There is a lot of money about in London.

Next door to me is having an expensive extension put in, the pile engineers are doing a good job. I spoke to one about the project and he said he did not know what the building was going to look like. I did as I had gone over the plans with the owner. So put into context, CC RF is not going in till last, installers are given their list of good and slightly difficult locations but not no.no's in say the middle of nowhere. So why should they know all about 'notspots' if they have not been sent to any yet. They are not given a van full of meters and told to fit them where they like.
Grow up Colour these jobs are all planned, Utilities know where dead areas are, and fitters told where to go.
The problem is UK does really suffer from outages so there probably no need for Smart other than for say giving night rates and controlling Power Stations and burn offs. It was lucky the UK Gov mothballed so many stations with current situation and coal possibly back.

Well thanks for reading the rest for me.
All these legally binding contracts, why is it then we are so far behind with SMETS1/SMETS2 which has been put back years. I have seen Government contracts which have run years behind then another Party comes into power and it's cancelled. As I see it the only way around poor Comms in UK will be 5G and that will probably take a whole lot of new legislation, so 2030 may be or may be not.
CC is going to make good headway whether you like it or not.

Jake, I do not think you are in this world sometimes. I have not read the whole document but what are you on about. To put a Mast up in England takes an eternity but 300+, then there is the argument of who pays, then there is the problem of high rise buildings. If CC had been involved in this you would have torn it to shreds.
At the very least BT never moves quickly, 2026 you must be joking.
Another paid for AD to placate Ofcom. I worked that out in first couple of pages.

The thing is ITT, we do not know who else were breaking the rules. All Party's (pun) including many other people did I would think. The trouble is Boris's lot created the rules. However all of Parliament have a joint responsivity when they pass a law so how many heads will roll on all Benches inc Lords.

Well Colour I was over the Retail Park of Lakeside Shopping Centre, alongside M25 and I could not get a signal and yet when we moved to the other side for Sainsburys it was alright. If that first car park was a house then no signal.
Meters are fixed so you cannot go waving them about in the air.
Your installers would not know where these are because at present they are only given the addresses that the surveyors have worked out for speed. Go ask the comapnies doing the surveys they may be able to help.
