To me Colour putting figures into an Authorities budget means that by invite CC has provided figures to them to see if they can provide the services required at the right price. Other than that you will have to ask JC, he said it.

Thanks for that Colour, that's the one that JC refers too as you know.
For others Thailand has 2 Authorities MEA (4m customers) PEA (About 24m). CC is currently installing in MEA and has put in figures into PEA's budget round.
As Colour always says CC is a niche product so could supply only with PEA if successful or be more involved as with MEA. Thailand pays up front as well which is very handy.

No Thailand comment yet Colour, can we assume you have not got one.
When Governments get involved things get delayed.
UK , India is now progressing after Cov19, Thailand MEA should soon give update, Thailand PEA could be a good earner if CC's figures are accepted in their 2022 budget, getting into Africa. There is a lot going on, as long as Governments do not put in further requirements, very unlikely.
Admittedly CC dipped after GoI changes of requirements and delays (Pre-Paid meters) but now there is an RF requirement that you saw no need for, Intellismart have us on board, which you did not see coming.
After the time it has taken to get here just a bit more patience. Not your forte.

Again no Thailand Colour, just keep harping back, if you must look back quote all the happenings going on at the time.
Even this last SLA listing was a set back when GoI decided existing meters and the ones you were highlighting (1m of them) seemed not to be up to the mark. Remember when you were on about Trilliant who only did HES anyway.
The weeks appear to fly by but we are getting there, be patient.

You never did give a truthful answer after making that mistake regarding Thailand quoting a year old item.
GoI now requires tenders for Cellular and RF, that is a fact RF, Intellismart I understand from Hardman is using CC knowledge and system to correct a problem and envisaged much bigger contracts to follow.
Keep up to date and don't go muck raking, do I suspect you do not have any CC shares now.

Hello LTI.. just an ongoing thought. It has been suggested on here that once the SLA list is published there may be delays in completion of contracts. I think that as this requirement from GoI came in well into the time the 37m units were already tendered then most preliminary would have been done. So most of those tenders could be surfacing in coming months.
If you remember Hardman last May (21) said that Intellismart already had 10m units installation underway and that CC could get 3m for RF needs. Once SLA list is publish CC could get immediate subcontract for these 3m as in progress already. Just a thought, could be worth £60m on previous earnings ratio.

All I am interested in is what is going to happen in next couple of months. Once contracts are placed they could spread over a couple of years, but more will be added, I still envisage CC producing 1m units a month in India plus that again with ROW. If CC has the right install capability, right SLA, right price then there is no reason for not getting large contracts and soon.

Everything takes a time in India but this is in its final stages for roll-out.
Intellismart is quite influential with a large staff and will probably want to see urgent movement.
Utilities, who have lost money over many years, will be eager to replicate INDORE or similar.
If you were an onlooker in a failing industry and you saw someone not just surviving but making good money wouldn't you be eager to follow. Put your DIRK back in its holster and face life.

Hello jake.. I think you are wrong, I have seen UK contracts in past and see what you are getting at but I feel the urge in India this time is to get on with it. Intellismart is a big organisation and will want to see installation progress not wait for a year.
As soon as Empanelment is listed I should think that all of those contracts that were progressed last year but held for this panel will get underway with contracts signed soon afterwards.
To my mind Empanelment came as an afterthought because the Smart meters installed were obviously not up to standard so new contracts required tweaking that is all. This is where I believe CC got invited on board by Intellismart to sort out existing problems, a bit like our SMETS1, but may be held to secrecy, nobody likes to make a mistake and worry customers. If this is the case we should see Intellismart offer CC participation in its larger contracts as was intimated last year.

Thanks for that relay LTI. Very detailed, pleased that CC can cover RF and Cellular as both are requirements.
That document is quite an obstacle course. I think we should do well.
If anything I think we come back to supply and demand, if we should get orders of 10m units at a time CC will probably have to require credit notes from all meter manufacturers or require upfront payments as was volunteered in Thailand. However I recon JC has got this well in hand, Smart is probably a pain in a*** for the manufacturers and it is the vital element for the whole setup, so an 100% proven link is what they need. If CC supply in 100k units chunks to individual MM's that should be a sufficient turnaround. In total I would think the demand would grow to a 1m units a month plus.

We should have SLA list out soon. As Empanelment will be on a rolling basis I assume although it is running slightly late we will soon have it and other applicants may then follow it they pass.
If listed on a percentage of SLA quality I should imagine CC will be at the top or very close to it after INDORE.

Hello LTI/ITT.. Did anybody manage to read the Webinar from British High Comm, New Delhi dated 22 April 22. on Smart Metering. Looks like India is now pushing ahead, well laid out.

Nearly end of April, don't get ahead of yourself. May be an RNS Monday, who knows.
Situation has not changed, no bad news and not likely to be unless a dramatic turn around by GoI.

Colour you are talking about today's situation because that is what we are all talking about, the reason for the current dip which has been brought about by the slight uncertainty of the Nomad. It will go through or CC will find another.
In my opinion, I must say that, CC is on the cusp of big money in India, primarily because Smart is the main energy mover in India, Smart is the Comms connection between household meter and Utility who both already exist, so Smart is solely the Comms, CC has probably highest SLA and has been GoI showcased in INDORE.
I could see CC getting at least 20% (50m units) in total in India, that coupled with other contracts around the world would make a extremely profitable company.
As a shareholder that is what you need to concentrate on as we are a hair's breadth away.

The Nomad situation is nothing to do with CC. It s the result of a takeover.
The drop appears to be the due diligence wait. Nothing to do with CC, you cannot swish around for some other blame when it is purely a procedural problem not directly involving CC.
Still awaiting CC update, no doubt arriving shortly.
Smart meters in India like UK is a long drawn process, when, soon, GoI list these SLA companies then contracts can push ahead again. You are constantly knocking India for delays then lay it at CC's door.
India has a massive population, massive Smart meter requirement and CC is well in amongst it, just time.
Once above sorted I see 50p looming.

Hello ITT, hopefully this is the bottom as not to do with CC, bigger buyers will take advantage.
Trouble is you are never satisfied, remember the past when at about 4p you would get out at 7p.
When we got there you suddenly thought we are on the way, SIPP was looking good.
Hang in, contract news should get us on the way to 50p, there is a lot of work in India and CC is seen to be an excellent Smart Comms link, it can now do RF and Cellular with very high SLA, so covers all requirements and is Indian.

Arden takeover has nothing to do with CC but Colour will probably blame them.
This is a good buying opportunity as nothing has change within CC.

Cricky Colour how did you find all that out.
You were probably expecting too much, 50p by 31/3 but you are thinking in the right direction.
We know India is a bit slow with paperwork, always has been, but you could well be right.
Amazed at your forward thinking. 10m units , some going.
The one good thing is we know it works. I would never have thought of all that.
