GiantS, looking at your posts on other shares all you seem to do is go around telling everyone how bad their investments are. Three observations I would make:

1. Surely you know that posting on forums like this as little to no affect on SP.
2. Shorting a stock is much higher risk than backing a company and you can get higher returns investing rather than betting against it.
3. Having a more positive outlook on life might have a significant benefit to mental health. I am also of the firm belief that 'what goes around, comes around'.

You predicted WW3 did you? Pretty sure you argument was about the business case of Cineworld which, in a normal world, is very strong. Batman just took c.250million first weekend which is a lot in any market.

Regular cinema goer, 2 x unlimited (me and the wife). Joined Jan 2020 which was unfortunate timing but we've still taken advantage of it regularly since the unlock. Invested at a similar time, definitely reason for investing.

Go at least monthly and regularly make the most of discounts on sweet, drinks and popcorn.

This year 'should' be a massive year for cinema. A steady procession of good films coming out. Let's hope the situation in Ukraine, which is much more important than money, has a positive resolution and we can press on.

Genuine and honest question, please can someone advise how if the bought total £ is more than the sold total £ the value of the SP goes down? I am sure it's something simple but a very black and white view would be the price would go up not down?

I think sp will be suppressed given the war which as others have stated is much more important than share prices and money.

There is no doubt that batman will do cine a big service with regards to increased liquidity. $100-125 million domestic box office first weekend.

Box-office Mojo saying $139m global sales for Unchartered and $75m for Death on the Nile. Decent uptick. Restrictions continuing to be reduced.

Everyone is second guessing the drop and RNS. Basically the share price reflects the fact Russia might attack Ukraine. A lot of political commentators statef weeks ago that Russia would wait until after the Olympics to attack out of respect to China. Olympics finishes on Sunday so the market is betting that political commentators were correct.

For me the RNS is nothing to do with the drop. To me, it seems positive.

What's peoples view? 21m from worldwide boxoffice not terrible performance given we'd expect the majority of income to come from the US domestic market, where its releasing this weekend. Could it get to 100m and more?

The film slate for this year looks incredible. If we can navigate next few months, and Russia doesn't start a war, we're in for some serious profit.

'Marry Me' was hardly going to be a blockbuster. They'll concentrate releasing the good stuff in cinema and the tripe will go to streaming.

I very much doubt Death on the Nile was ever seen as a 'tent pole' film and therefore was never going to bring that much revenue to cinema.

There's about 3-4 billion in box office sales in 6 films above in the right conditions. Not to mention other films slated for this year.

Sorry but for me this is the definiton of a nothing article! Not even sure it was even worth typing it out. Are they seriously trying to predict opening weekend based on one day of presales!?
