Really comparing apples and pears. I note that TXP will by the end of the year will likely be producing 50% more gas than Whitecap for a similar price (whitecap 62, 269 mcf/d for $2.84/mcf). But Whitecap is producing mainly oil.
It looks a good company. Profits should be better this year if oil prices hold up, but for those who look a little closer TXP is better value and has much more upside from this share price. IMO, DYOR.

Sorry if people have seen this. I have seen some of this before and I think PB showed one of the diagrams as a new diagram at a recent presentation but some are new to me.

Even if I rolled I would still have to be out of spread bet by end of March, so I moved over to the IG share account. They did it with no spread and the broker even did it at no commission so though I am not happy to lose the capital gains with spread betting ( my main reason for using it) and the loss of a little gearing, I can not complain too much.
Still have a spread bet position with Spreadex, they haven't closed out TXP but it doesn't look like I can increase that position, thou I haven't tried calling them.

March rollover is Tuesday.

I suspect there is also still some forced selling. I still had some on margin with IG and had to sell with the March rollover on futures coming up.
Hopefully I will have some more cash coming in from a property sale in the next week or so; I know where it will be going at these prices.

Much the same, came to TXP from salt lake potash bb tip, and found my way there from sirius minerals.
Which is why I have asked a couple of times (when it is quiet) if anyone has something that they are watching.
Predator has had a run driven by an EOR story that I think is over hyped but there is huge upside from the Morocco well they are drilling if it is as big as intimated.
JLP also had a big run, PGMs, but their copper processing is huge and ramping up this quarter.
80% still in TXP though. So little/no down side risk at these prices, upside not priced at all. IMO DYOR.

12 months we will have minimum of 4 producing gas wells on the block. We should be looking at 100mmcf/mth, $5million/mth. Those alone will support a share price of £2/share+
How high depends on what the tests show, and Royston, and if Kraken gets drilled before then.

Photo, I think its fairly clear that the rig from canada is for the deep targets at Cascadura and Kraken and will be available at the end of the year. It seems the seismic that is being done is more for defining the kraken target; so I suspect it MAY depend on that if they go for Kraken first or the cascadura "lower" deep??

Sometimes its just so hard to be patient.
But actually I am very pleased with the RNS.
Everything takes longer to happen that one would like but I was concerned that they were not cracking on with a bigger drill programme. It is the drill bit that is going to deliver the real growth in this company going forwards and announcing the contract to bring in a modern ultra heavy drill rig on a 3yr+ contract was just what I was hoping to see.

Just the announcement that they have contracted a modern ultra heavy rig for the next 3years is an huge RNS in its self and probably the most important part of this announcement.
Clear indication that they may be using 3rigs in total is the start of a huge drill programme.

Txp have tweeted that Xav Moonan has been given position on management team as “ Manager for Exploration”, the second internal promotion in recent days.
Well deserved.
But reading the tea leaves these do not look like the actions of a company that may be about to issue bad news on well test results.

Looks like there are a lot of sells today but I just bought on a spread of 149p-152p at 150.2p and 150.1p ; so I suspect that a lot of the "sells" are buys.

Its not been the first time that I have seen what appear to be really, really good investments ignored by the markets and bulletin board posters. Indeed I would go as far as to say that really good companies tend to not attract interest. Lol. ££££.

Yes but in those 30days I am hoping to make lots of £££ free of any capital gains!
Hopefully we we will see some spread betting available. Gearing is useful if used carefully, as is the tax advantage.

Many with IG accounts will have reduced their position but they are probably like me with some degree of gearing still. I will probably hang on until Friday and then increase my cash cover; but others will sell.
Unless we have news we could still see some selling pressure.
Those with cash should take the opportunity.

I know it’s a “First world problem”, but still irritating and costly.

IG are requiring clients with a position in TXP and 900 other small cap to cover their margin by 3pm Friday and close all spread bet and Cdfs by end of March.
Spreadex haven’t decided yet.
It means I currently have IG selling £100k this pm. I may have to sell more.
I will not be the only one.
It does mean that this is a great opportunity to buy in.

This may not play out well for the SP in the short term. It is likely to result in people reducing their positions. If that pushes SP down then we get into the position of "traders" jumping out stop losses are taken out. We have seen this appear to happen before for TXP. Obviously if we have some good news that will help.
