Acquisition TIDMPCF RNS Number : 2186L Private & Commercial Fin Group Plc 28 July 2011 PCFL / Index: AIM / Sector: Speciality & other finance Private & Commercial Finance Group plc ('PCFG' or 'the Group') Acquisition Private & Commercial Finance Group plc, the AIM quoted finance house, is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of a GBP6 million portfolio of receivables comprising 2,300 hire purchase agreements financing motor vehicles ('the Portfolio') from North Herts Credit Company Limited ('the Vendor'). The consideration for the acquisition of the Portfolio is GBP4.5 million in cash. The acquisition increases the Group's portfolio of receivables to GBP110 million and will positively impact FY 2012 turnover by approximately GBP2.4 million. Scott Maybury, CEO of PCFG commented: "This transaction, which is earnings-enhancing, is another step in our strategy to actively grow the Group's portfolio. We are on the lookout for future acquisitions and ideally these would be of a comparable size and for leasing or hire purchase assets suitable for our business finance division."

Val the news shows that they are active in the market. The interims below were after the bad news was factored in as well I believe and with cost cutting this could be another great recovery story. Spread looks horrible but is much better online.

Interim Results for the six months to 30 April 2011 Mediwatch plc ("Mediwatch", "the Company" or "the Group", AIM: MDW), the innovative urological diagnostic company, has published its interims result for the six months ended 30 April 2011. Highlights - Increased revenues to GBP5,095,000 (H1 2010: GBP4,959,000) - Maintained EBITDA of GBP272,000 (H1 2010: GBP290,000) - Overheads reduced by 11% compared to H2 2010 as a result of outsourced manufacturing and other cost reduction programmes - Development programmes reaching completion, reducing the amount of R&D spend - Commercial launch of PSAwatch underway with the successful transfer of strip production to a new site - Growth of the Mobilewatch Clinic division in Florida with plans to expand into other states - Launched Urinewatch system for urinalysis - Development of new bladder ultrasound platform

Interim Statement The net profit before taxation, exceptional items and discontinued operations of GBP127,073 for the six months ended 31(st) December 2010 compares to a profit of GBP416,189 for the six months ended 31(st) December 2009. The result follows the loss of two major clients reported to the market in previous statements. Cost cutting measures were made to substantially mitigate the lost income but there will be a period of reduced activity while the company continues to rebuild its client base and turnover. Turnover in the period was GBP8,073,019 (2009, GBP15,198,936) with a gross profit of GBP1,770,486 (2009, GBP2,729,658). The loss of these high turnover but lower margin 'media' clients has resulted in the overall gross margin increasing from 18% to 22%. Basic earnings per share are -0.03p (2009 0.11p) The results include a substantial bad debt provision disclosed as an exceptional cost. This comprises all monies owed by one particular former client which continues to trade. We have exercised our first charge over its assets, appointed a receiver and anticipate a partial recovery of the debt.

A bit of a risk but look at the figures and the news I posted last night. There is only 500K available online so any good news should see a good rise. I do expect 1p plus with any good news.
