The recent seismic and core samples sound very positive, intercepting gassy coals and new areas of interest outside the currently mapped areas. If the seismic line shows continuity and the cores come back as expected we should see a very nice uplift in the gas figures which are already huge. Roll on news, we won’t be far away now.

Chessmen, at the min a low valuation could be given of $1m per bcf which should likely be upvalued on offtake. If you assume $1bcf 2P at 90% risked and $1m 3P at 30%. 2P = 3.9bcf @ 90% = $3.51m 3P = 261bcf @ 30% = $78.3m = $81.81m = £57.73m Add on cash and were around £62m. There is of course value to be added for licences, approvals, calibre of bod etc but that aside we are still undervalued. The Reserves should increase and an offtake will increase value of gas in ground so, all looking peachy!

Spice in regards gas, they have a huge asset. 3.2TCF contingent resources is on just two claims. Prospective total resources across all claims is +14TCF. That’s, 14,000bcf potential. Whilst all of that won’t come online even just 5% is 700bcf. 350mw for 20 years and that’s being conservative. I don’t think a lot of PIs comprehend how big this actually can become.

100mw leading onto CNG/LNG or Orapa conversion, perhaps upgrade from 90mw to 135mw with an additional 45mw turbine. Run the the original units on gas, given they’re duel fuel they could be transferred with zero disruption that way. You also then have export options of power via upgrading above 100mw, if bots government don’t want additional supply (im sure they would) then neighbouring countries can take the supply by wielding the power across grid into the Southern African Power Pool. This is why I don’t see any need for Tlou to venture elsewhere there is plenty on the table, they may work with others in different ways but I can’t see them doing a startup elsewhere, the upside in Bots is enough to potentially grow to a mid/major supplier.

Spice no need for Tlou to venture outside of Tlou the upside here alone is astronomical. What I do see happening however is neighbouring countries liaising with the likes of Tlou and other CBM players, I believe they have been in discussions before to this effect.

Really looking forward to these reserve upgrades, baring in mind Mamba is the first core hole and first seismic so interpretation of data and logging etc has previously not been so in-depth yet the reserve increase previously with Mamba included was significant. I really think once this work is completed and the assessment passed over from SRK we should all be pleasantly surprised just how much gas there is and this is just from two of the ten permits remember. There is over 14TCF prospective resources on all claims.
