UNkwn, as I said in a previous post (which disappeared because, I assume, the original poster deleted the thread - couldn't take the flak - lol), this Bitcoin Treasury fad is like the end of the Benny Hill show when the crowd frantically runs one way and then, suddenly, switches direction, to run the other. The catalyst will be, if, Bitcoin substantially rises (or falls). I've been in and out of SWC, MSTR etc and made a little profit, indeed, so much so that, Saylor no longer grates me, in fact, I'm now quite enamoured by his whiny voice.

Why so many posts about a company that's suspended? We can't do anything about it and when, or if, it does become unsuspended the price will immediately reflect whether the outcome is good, bad or indifferent. I hope Onetomany is correct in his optimism but I've already dismissed this company as a no-hoper so assumed my shares are worthless.

Can't see any news which would cause the SP to drop nearly 3%. And the company is buying shares. Anyone any ideas?

I'm intrigued as to the amount rylidan has riding on this bitcon treasuries lark. You bought more on Friday and on a previous post you topped-up at £5.53. Given the amount of posts you make and your extensive use of filtering, I must surmise your investment is considerable. I hope it all turns out for you.

Yes, NomadCane, I thought it was all good news. Mind you, CORD has always been a bit of an outsider so not surprised by the lack of excitement in the chat room. Pleased that we're in touching distance of the original IPO price. It's been a journey - lol.

Quick 'thank you' to TDown, who started this subject. Based on TDown's message and the general hysteria on Monday morning, bought SWC, PR1 and HEV (unable to buy VULT), and then sold them first thing Tuesday. Still think Bitcoin's the greatest game of chicken man has ever devised but that won't stop me diving in and out.

Wow, those Preliminary Results sure blew Quantum Computing and the share price out of the water. Good results but selling the Quantum business, what's that all about? I thought quantum computing was the in-thing, along with AI?

Avocet123 - Yes, tulips, but also Jellyworks in 1999. That was the year I started taking an interest in shares. Bought Jellyworks, watched it go up and watched it come down. .... I did think about SWC at 2p but didn't make a move. My hat's off to all who have won big time. Could be different this time cos so many into Bitcoin. I'm on the sidelines but will join when I think the odds are a bit more in my favour.

Must admit, as I stand on the sidelines, I'm enjoying this shrill banter about the pros and cons of Bitcoin, SWC and MSTR. Both sides are adamant they are right. What I would be interested to know is the amount of debt out there as a result of the purchase of Bitcoin etc. Greatest game of chicken ever devised, I'm waiting for the next pull back, if it doesn't happen, then, well done hodlers.

According to LSE there are 8 shorts on YCA totalling 6%+. Would be nice to see them disappear.

The only thing I can see is, we've had 4 days of 'Transaction in own shares', of which, today, we went back up to 150,000 shares bought. Hopefully this shares price move will get rid of that short position. If there is a bid going on I want it well north of £4.00

Hi Billfunk1, thanks for taking the trouble to answer my two questions. You will have to bear with me but Bitcoin is a bit of a fog to me. I'm not a long term holder of Bitcoin, I buy it then sell it when it's gone up about 10%. In response:

1. I joined etoro to specifically play Bitcoin. I find I can buy/sell Bitcoin 24 hours a day, is that not a spot Bitcoin?

2. I get the arguments surrounding Bitcoin, fiat printing/inflation and Bitcoin's finite supply but I still see it as a game of chicken (is someone willing to pay more for it?). As for companies making Bitcoin their primary reserve asset, well, that's just a gamble. Having said that, I am definitely toying with the idea of buying/selling MSTR and SWC, when I think the odds look good.

I've just googled 'what is bitcoin treasury company' and AI Overview came back with quite a good explanation. Now, my two questions (which are most probably related), for all the bitcoin experts out there, are: 1) Why invest in MSTR/SWC when it's just as easy to buy the real thing, Bitcoin?; and 2) When Bitcoin goes up MSTR, percentage wise, goes up further, and likewise when Bitcoin goes down, MSTR drops further, why?

For those of you despairing, like me, about the share price of YCA, here's a note of optimism. The author reckons there's not much downside left and there is a possibility the share price doubles in the next few years. Here's hoping:
