Am I reading this correctly that the revenues won't start until 2025 but in the meantime they will have to recruit staff and presumably increase the cost base.

Can anyone just advise if they have sufficient cash.

Better to wait for £26 or £25 when the shorts are working down the WTB share price. It is a well managed company but a couple of the recent numbers took a dip. That will be what is being targeted. They hunt in packs unfortunately.

You'll always get profit taking after steep rises. Todays fall though is probably more to do with Retail sales figures not hitting the mark. It affects all.

How can you do due diligence if you haven't published your accounts and at such a key time. Not even an advance warning of delay either. The Bidder will revise his offer down or walk away. Forget improved offers this will be lucky to end up with the first. Total shambles.

The chart seems to suggest a downtrend again and buying back in the 45p area

Many have been party to PF's hype and placings in the past. If ever there was a candidate for Project based finance it was Tema. It was hyped then a placing. Now exited. No debt, no monthly debt repayments so you see the appeal.

Isn't one of the DRC's airports, Goma I think it is, close to an active volcano?

These things are risks that have to be balanced in deciding what finance route is taken.

On what is envisaged to be only £8m revenue when you get to the end of the first year what does PF and company do?

Does he take on project finance and saddle the company with both debt and interest payments, or does he go for a placing or Darwenesque finance with co debt or interest payments? That's about where it's at.

Project based finance has its pluses but if the numbers have been overflowry or the contract runs into problems or ends prematurely your stuck with both the debt and the repayments.

So what's it going to be?

The delay in publishing results has to be all about getting the D4E signed off prior to publication so it keeps it's going concern status.

Who knows though what will be left for existing shareholders after any massive dilution from D4E.

Probably not a lot if this is the starting point for working things out.

Theres only one winner in Debt for Equity swaps and that is not existing holders.

The nice thing is that the Board have everyone a few days grace to get our before suspension.

A primary rule in investing is to make money and to preserve capital and limit your losses when things change.

Well it's not seeing 10p despite PF and the CFO's best efforts and I suspect if it had seen 4p then you would have had a placing quicker than you could blink. The WSG business model for years has worked on two things, a per passenger fee but also backed by placing or Darwenesque type funding. That way WSG get their money (shareholder money) and they don't have loans to pay back or substantial monthly interest payments to make to service your debt.

It'll be interesting to see which financing route they ultimately take given investors risk profile of the DRC and and the fact it's only £8m projected revenue in the first year.

By the way where has all the previous placing monies gone that were raised for this very purpose?

I think if you read the DRC RNS its $10m revenues in the first year. Not profit.

So £8m revenues.

Staff to pay, kit to instal, office space required, training academy to fund. x how many airports.

Will it be project based finance with presumably a high interest rate to reflect the risk or will it be another placing or combination of both

It's not so much the value of the dividend that matters but the fact it gets flagged as such for about a month or so. That creates a mallaise with little interest and traders and the like go elsewhere for returns.

Two pretty obvious points are that firstly the Bid has been rejected. Secondly the Government in my opinion would never let the IDS and the Post Office fall into overseas ownership.

Probably best to take whatever premium is presently on offer.

Whereas I share your belief that UKF may provide some help I don't think it will be anywhere near the bulk.

Then as for bank finance, what bank would lend money to a company that never makes a profit and is presently showing a decreasing revenue stream. One that has also raised millions from investors and with very little to show for it.

So despite the cost cutting I just dont see sufficient money to get to one, let alone 5 DRC arrival halls, so best of luck but I won't be investing.

I might look to invest after the DRC contract is fully signed and with full transparency and knowledge of how it will be funded.
