Anyone?
Thought you might at least know IBAB ;-)
Hi all, although i'm still umming and arring over holding over the next few weeks, (after 7 years) i have a question i cannot find the answer to anywhere online.
With dividend payments (other stocks obviously) they have an ex divi date e.g. 10th aug. So if you hold a stock on that date you get the dividend regardless of whether you sell before its actual payment date.
Now my question is whether the upcoming votes follow the same logic.
I.e. as a shareholder i have recieved my voting forms.
I can now vote however i choose and if i so wish sell my shares.
As i was a shareholder at the time of the voting forms being distributed my vote still stands regardless of whether i am still a shareholder.
Correct?
Hope someone can either set me straight or provide a link so i can confirm myself.
Regards
Evening all,
A much brighter outlook regarding our investment this week, the last few months have been tough.
After reading the RNS it's good to see a roadmap to production, although i don't expect it will be plainsailing.
I wanted people's opinions of the following statement in the RNS:
"The Deferred Scope incorporates the remainder of construction required to deliver 10mtpa capacity ramped-up and operational. The remaining work comprises a more 'infrastructure' style risk framework more consistent with civil construction and more commonly financed in large scale by project finance banks."
Now, knowing how careful the company are with language, i'm interested in the word infastructure within that paragraph. I'm aware the company stated no current talks with the IPA are currently taking place. However, with this statement i cannot rid myself of the thought that the future plan may be a return to the IPA when the 2nd chunk of money is required a year or two down the line.
Could be nothing. Time will tell.
P.s. Chesh, you've got Grrr spot on i believe ??
Really avocet? I've been here 6/7 years and am not massivey underwater. If you timed your buys well you could have done ok. I have an average within a couple of pence of the current share price and am reasonably happy. Slightly annoyed for not top slicing a few time...yes. Beat myself up for missing out on bottom by 10% when topping up...ofc. Currently torn between placing pitons on the next rise but equally wary of missing the j-curve. How embarrassing that term was used during questioning at the AGM...i have an idea who may have spouted it but no confirmation here so far. Less thsn a year until this gets exciting i reckon. Enjoy the weekend all.
Morning all, Normally get this delivered but no sign yet...anyone who has there account with halifax got theirs yet? P.s. welcome back myo
Only Alan Lauren. Question for the more knowledgeable regarding the thresholds for reporting a change in holdings. We all know about the 5% reporting threshold but i was under the impression 6%, 7% and 8% also required reporting at months end too? No idea where i got this information. It appears wrong anyway. Anyone care to correct my understanding? Tbh i'm just shocked they were able to offload this many, seemingly without anyone noticing. As a silent member of the board i'll just take this opportunity to thank the 10 or so members that carry the rest of us with their dilligent research and contributions. You know who you are ;-) Just a few more contributors to single out. Prost/Sl stop being so damn smug fella. You've had some valid contributions to make over the years, no need to become the new Andy. Alan -There's nothing wrong with optimism but you've been copying/pasting the same quotes for at least 4 years now! Surely you have domrthing else to add. Ta for now.
Barratt was my first ever share. Bought £1500 for 3 years in a row...57p, 1.18p and about 1.50. Didnt sell any until about £5.50 a few years ago. I did quite well and still hold a few thousand shares 😀
