Utilico Insights - Jacqueline Broers assesses why Vietnam could be the darling of Asia for investors. Watch the full video here.
Vegas - you’re way off. Origin announced the completed the horizontal drilling. That’s news, right?
WW, answer me this: how often do you see a company trading at 15c, get purchased for $2.00?
The base share price IS material.
Santos’ news is indeed very positive, for both Santos AND Falcon. So why is Falcon’s stock price declining?
JF: what happened to your “enjoying pints before Monday’s good news” statement. We got bad news that Monday!!!
Insider buying/selling is a standard metric utilized by investors in due diligence. It’s not “judging”. LOL!
Perhaps I you have an opportunity to become better educated in investment approaches and due diligence. Here are some useful links on insider buying/selling. Take your time, some big words contained here:

He sold a crpload. He was GIVEN for free 6 Million shares. He decided that cash was a better investment, so he liquidated 75% of it. Saddest part: turned out it was a great sale!!!
Indefensible, yet Wet will find some warped spin to defend it. ;(
Wet, POQ isn’t exactly “all in on Beetaloo”.
He made $1 Million cash salary/bonus last 2 years. He’s “all-in” on keeping Falcon capitalized to fund his outrageous salary.
POQ hasn’t purchased one share in the open market. Zero. It’s indefensible, yet I know you’ll find some warped spin to defend it.
Hey Oracle, perhaps your forced buyer finally showed up Friday? Well done.
Santos reports earnings Jan 24. This event is key for people who care about Falcon’s share price. POQ, who earned $1mil CASH in 2017/18 while purchasing zero shares, should squeeze in time amongst his regular steady stream of investor meetings.
(Sarcasm: The notion that POQ is meeting investors)
The 10mil Hess options expire Monday. I suppose we, as shareholders who have deployed our own capital (unlike POQ), want the stock to close at/below 19c Cad that day. Otherwise, we have another 10mil shares added to the float.
Do I have that right??
Maybe the 5mil print was POQ buying!!!!!
After all, credible CEOs buy shares to demonstrate confidence in his/her company’s prospects. Yep, it was definitely POQ.
(The above is purely sarcastic).
Just remember that POQ has never purchased a Falcon share in the open market. Not one share.
His compensation in 2018 was $700k, while Falcon’s share price dropped 45% since Jan 2018.
The man certainly is rich enough to buy shares. Shame that he doesn’t feel compelled to.
One option is to determine total # shares owned by all members here who have concerns. We could do this offline, via email. We could then communicate to the Board, as a single representative of x# shares. We could articulate to Falcon's Board our concerns about i) Exec compensation, ii) dilution, iii) lack of communication, etc etc
Just a thought, and I'm unaware the "proper" way to approach such an initiative. I'm not necessarily personally willing to organize such a coalition, but I'd certainly participate.
Btw, I own 700k shares.
Buckeye: great post.
WW: get out & stay out. We'll miss your highly objective and accurate musings. ;)
To those who are unbothered by POQ receiving $700k for being, as Soly said, a "passenger":
-Every time Falcon raises capital, YOU pay POQ and his CFO their combined $1mil annual compensation. Your % stake of Falcon is reduced via dilution, and transferred to Falcon's "general corporate purposes" which means paying CEO and CFO $1mil per year.
-This is shameful given Falcon's SP performance and passive nature of CEO/CFO role.
The CEO of a "passenger" company shouldn't make $700k per year.
So you want facts? CEO's total compensation by year. The ratio of 'compensation' to 'realized shareholder value' is shameful.
2018: $700k
2017: $600k
2016: $500k
2015: $500k
2014: $800k
There's something credible to the theory that Falcon's SP is being intentionally suppressed. However, it's pure hogwash to think that Origin is suppressing the price. It's far more likely that price is being managed to make a placement price more attractive to participants. And/or to grant more options to FOG's stellar team of executives.
WW, I can tell that my post was too intellectual for you. With apologies.
Drilling is finally occuring while the SP sits at 52-week low. Sock market at a record. Origin stock performing well. This is way more poignant than "day to day stock action". Something is fundamentally wrong.
Hang in there WW.
WW: try to focus. Hopefully the following isn't too intellectual for you: It's not that "people need to have something to worry about". Rather, in search for explanations of Falcon's relentlessly weak share price, a looming capital raise emerges as one possible explanation.
Suppose CEO finds an investor interesting in punting $10mil. Does CEO match the buyer with Sweatpea (bullish for SP)? Or does CEO issue new stock to sell to investor at a discount, further diluting? There's your potential rationale for Falcon's inability to rise.
Many thanks for the great summary of the AGM. THAT is chat board value!! Did anyone ask about the company's cash needs, and if the company is seeking to raise capital? A pending capital raise would be one possible explanation for current share price weakness.
