2017 has seen a strong store rollout. Hopefully DPP’s increased operating leverage will move it closer to monthly profitability in 2018. Obviously faster the store rollout the greater start up losses in new branches but nearer we get to monthly break even. Had a small top this week may buy some more next week if momemetum continues

John21 You raise a good point. Standard PE ratios take share price divided by post tax earnings. Some commentators do deduct surplus cash from market cap and this would significantly lower PE ratio by roughly a 1/3rd. Also people look to forward PE ratio which in a growth company would be even lower.

Based on doubling interim post tax results Oct trades around PE of 12 even after absorbing start up costs of new venture which is cheap versus market especially when you look at underlying growth excluding one off items More evidence of potential value of new business at year end will help drive share price further imo.

Market Cap is now close to �1m per store which by historic measures for DPP is looking cheap �1million dividend by say a multiple of 15 times earnings and ignoring tax for simplicity equates to circa 1,333 per week per store in profit If it falls further I might buy some more

I get the point about a new start up in a new technology but major players are already in this space On Line is very late to the party and isn't going to be the next Google, Facebook It simply doesn't have scale or resources to compete with major companies in this space such as IBM in my opinion Good luck with your investment

Highlander 1970 As you know Block chain goes beyond simply crypto currencies and unregulated exchanges. The distributed ledger concept allows massive exchanges of data between parties with a high degree of security which is why major banks are already building pilots both for internal use and external use and IBM have a service for banks to build blockchain applications because of the major efficiency gains that can be achieved by stripping out costs of bank to bank transactions. Simply google IBM and block chain or major banks and block chain if you want proof. RBC Canada announced they were block chain as a shadow system for US Canada payments in September 2017. Block chain is already being used by major banks in both internal and external data exchanges so technology is valid but does Online have ability to develop applications for block chain Many other industries are also developing applications for its use There are already over 100 crypto currencies so competition is already massive There is also at least one Fintech Nasdaq tracker fund which people could buy to get into this sector with less stock specific risk

Its a free country and have no problem with you giving a negative view but I would suggest you swallow your pride, admit you were wrong and buy some shares in Oct at least you might make a profit.

Extant Dividends couldn't be paid whilst there was a deficit on retained earnings the recent Court proceedings have eliminated that issue and created distributable profits. So it's full stream ahead for dividends and share backs.

Ibug If you read last trading update you will see that Octagonal plc results not just trading sub are due for publication no later than 31 Dec but hope to publish earlier than that. That was what I was referring to.

Hopefully when Octagonal Plc results are announced there will be no nasty plc level expense shocks - I am not expecting any and perhaps an update on new venture progress. It's always pleasant to be up 50% on a share in a few months. With its growing profits, positive free cashflow, existing surplus cash and now a dividend payer means this is a real rarity of a share on AIM! My only frustration is that I didn't put a lot more in.

After deducting tax and plc costs net cash will have grown by over �1 million in last six months so more cash to come after this dividend.

I hold my shares through TD so I think it is probably just nominee holding companies OCT is too small in terms of market cap and it's on AIM for many institutional investors to hold within their mandates. Doesn't mean it doesn't offer good value based on last set of interim numbers for GIS though

Chequemate It was very quiet but I am up over 160 per cent so not bothered plus receiving dividends. Also many of the busiest boards are get rich overnight shares which typically end in tears except for clever traders (which I am not) and the ramping crews. All markets are frothy at moment which is why I hold large element of portfolio in cash. However, BP Marsh will easily survive a crash and be able to pick up cheaper deals.
