Sont disagree with the sentiment at all and all directors ceo etc should be looking after thier shareholders.

I think it's been challenged in court a couple of times without success. I. E. What's good for the company is not always good for the existing shareholders but the duty lies in protecting the company, I do get that it gets all tangled anyways.

This whole ridiculous debate is because I said that I don't trust ceo's/directors to look after me as a shareholder, specifically in relation to the ability to issue non performance related shares to themselves.

It's then turned into a ridiculous thread about it, if you don't trust the ceo then sell up rubbish. Ceo's come and go, so by its very nature at some point in the future I might have to also to trust a CEO that none of us know.

How's about some performance link to the renumeration shares, then I don't have to trust anyone over it.

I think I'm starting to get it though, long time holders who think they own this board and act like board bullies. Like walking into a locals pub in the countryside.

Quite possibly, but now we have SiPPs that can buy crypto companies and access to funds. I don't know how many exchanges take credit cards but I'm sure some do.

Again what are people arguing over.. I am saying there will be loads of money moving into crypto and it will be like boom times and people are pulling it apart.

If I said there wouldn't be any money moving into crypto then people would pull it apart.

Around 2010 ish from memory was the 120% mortgage rush, I'm sure you remember it and your just being deliberately obtuse. If not, Google it if you care.

People were in a frenzy buying rental property even at a negative yeild because.. Its thier pension (again Google it if you care).

The comparison I was making, ( again if you cared at all and weren't just trying to cause friction) was that we will likely see a frenzy of buying into crypto because people who don't understand it in anyway get fomo and you will hear people say (I'm sure I will) that's they are buying it because its thier pension.

That is EXACTLY the point I was making. The directors act for the company as a whole. Investors can choose to be part of that company, or do the other thing.

We are all saying the same thing, the only issue is that I used the word trust, other than that we are agreeing it's just everyone's being daft about it.

Lottery for some maybe depending on how much is invested.. Could get to 6 quid and a dividend declared.. Then we can retire and live like Kings (and Queens). Unfortunately it usually works more like the lottery.. Some make it big which gives hope and inspires others but the reality is we won't all be millionaires.

It is nice to dream though :)

Imagine if you could be paid for posting on these types of forums (I mean in a meaningful way enough to make a differnce financially). Blogging and such like (if that's still a thing) can earn good money but your not paid per random reply on a message board.

Anyways, I'm going to leave this thread alone so it can die as its turned into something even more ridiculous than usual

Yea it is, but I believe the duty is to the company not the shareholder.. Obviously we can argue that the shareholders form the company by proxy or some other mangled view but I think the duty is to the company.

Just quick quick observation before I just start ignoring you completely.

I share my opinion on this board, which i mostly back up with fact and reasoning.

You are making false allegations about people which I think you might find will get you in trouble at some point.

I can quite happily defend everything I have put.

You have made statements that I can categorically disprove and you seek to undermine posters with defamatory comments which you put across as statements of fact, which are inaccurate and inappropriate.

You'll find yourself in hot water one day, not by me, I can't be bothered with such things but at some point you will state false representations about the wrong person and they will take you to task over it.

I think we are at a very interesting time with a wall of money sloshing it's way into the industry.

It reminds me of the last housing boom (120% mortgages) where plumbers, electricians, shop assistants and the unemployed were all buying houses and becoming landlords.. Sometime at negative yeild.. And why.. "because its my pension"

That is true but unfortunately the term Shareholders doesn't just mean existing, it means future too and sometimes its a transfer of wealth from Current shareholder to future ones.

People got a little Ansty when I said I don't trust Ceo's (ours included reference the ability to issue bonus at will) I think should be clear, in black and white with procedure and rules or guidelines. It actually removes Fud because everyone understands what the score is.

Ive been battered many many times by Ceo's that have made decisions that practically wipe out existing shareholders.

There really are some lunatics on these boards, I think when you have money/emotion on the line and mix it with annonimity you get an insight into a portion of the human psyche that has to be hidden in real life as it is unacceptable.

I have posted on forums since back when a 56k modem was considered quick (still amazed I manged to play Counterstrike on 56k). Even so I still get surprised by some of the responses I get, even on here, some people seem to default to some child like persona or just plain vile.

I gotto admit I feel better now after the filing report gave over some detail. There are still things I'm not keen on such as being able to issue bonus shares at a whim (although here you must just trust otherwise your Satan).

I didn't know that, missed it all. Take your phone to the nearest cop shop and show them. They would be able to identify the phone number and it's owner, if its uk based they will get a knock on the door as distribution of that type of material will find them on a register or behind bars, they might not find it so funny.

Just as a genuine FYI and you probably already do know it but the CEO of QBT has been a director of over 50 companies (spanning multiple countries) and is currently a director of 10 UK companies (not sure how many over seas).
