interesting trousers. whilst i wouldn't normally contemplate getting involved with cryptos,nfts etc,i think this may be one occasion where, if we fail to get the cryptos (whether because they don't issue in time so we get cash, or because technical platform difficulties prevent some of us being able to receive them), i may regret not getting involved. i just sense that this could be a very attractive proposition.just my superficial opinion,of course.

dougie,it's all going to depend on the terms of the deal,which is why i personally expect it to happen after FDA approval.with approval it's a different ball game.just my opinion and could certainly be wrong.

PetitstVincent, that is a very interesting take on things.would make sense.also the cooper announcement was only on the 23rd may, 6 weeks or so ago. i assume that the majority of work for supply chains etc can only really start once the deal is signed so early days imo.

re Zhavoronkov, that's my point in a way.no idea what a chief longevity officer is,but i assume he contributes to, or overseas the research and technical development side (not IT/commercialisation). i imagine his personal focus will remain on Insilco medicine,as he won't become a rich man from his DLI salary and his scientific research per se, but if insilco floats,as has been suggested,that is how he will make real money.so to have someone now whose specific role is to commercialise DLI, is extremely important imo. of course it will all depend on how good he is at it and how marketable are the products. all just my opinion.

now had proper look at the patent news.i simply don't have the necessary understanding of ,and familiarity with, the the science involved here and its commercial potential, to reach any meaningful conclusion as to whether this is a development of significance or just another academic exercise in demonstrating scientific and AI related expertise. on balance i have concluded that it is something of significance,but that is probably just because that's what i hope it is. am slightly encouraged by the reference to commercialising in 2023,but we've heard this sort of thing before. does suggest,in fairness, that DLI are leaders in this field (if only i understood what the field is).interested in any other views as always.

been looking at Deep's linkedin profile .looks like he's been the ceo since may.whilst not exactly a big hitter, im hopeful that it is a sensible move to have a dedicated ceo with experience of commercialising technology, as this is the essential next step for DLI. it's no use in the long run just being scientifically innovative and producing research of purely academic interest. there has to be a strong commercial objective to justify it . hopefully that is what he can bring.we will see.

some largish trades gone through today at 50.5p.looking at the s/p movement suggests buys,but cannot be sure.

thanks for pointing that out.id missed it.despite the no kidding,i actually thought you were joking about the name,but when i looked it up and showed it to mrs italian we both had hysterics.still at least he's not called "reason".joking apart.and despite it being as you rightly say,another mouth to feed i actually think it is potentially excellent news.ive always thought that jamie and mellon don't really have the right backgrounds for this type of product and area.(i know mellon is a bit of a jack of all trades ,but his style really is to launch the kites and see how they fly).if this chap has the right qualities and experience it could be just what they need.(will be looking into this a bit more this evening).whilst im inclined to regard the chinese update as more significant for the local market,this latest news may well have helped the s/p to build a little on the first news,albeit that we couldn't maintain the day's highs..not claiming this is a "deep"thought as i don't really do ratiocination,but its the best i can offer.

morning bignose.yes interesting article and encouraging.perhaps the chinese progress will be the catalyst which moves the s/p to a more acceptable trading range. so far today looks similar to yesterday.quite significant rise but then sold into .the trade by volume figures are interesting. approx 55% traded at 0.139/0.140 hkd.,so some will be holding now at much higher figures(unless they all sold again ha ha)

afternoon bignose. i see DVP was up 6% today,although not suggesting it had any bearing on ERP,as it doesn't seem to register with investors.also of course,as we continue to sell down ,its movement becomes less meaningful.oh well,tomorrow is another day!

looks like the update was pretty well received initially,but then the rise got sold into. volume up a bit,but still very small in value really.anyway,at least we have ended up a bit.(small mercies and all that).
