Finally, Fuel cells are v expensive, and at moment, make cars too expensive for the mass market. However, FC are ideal for transport industry where carrying large amounts of H2 is not a problem, Large amounts give long distances. LGV's, HGVs, Buses, Coaches, Trains, Ships. Aircraft. If H2 is successfully produced from sea water, FC powered ships with H2 mfrd 'on board' is exciting. Filter out the plastic from sea water, even microscopic, using something like a Zeolite, and sell it to DMG . plant. The future is bright for H2, but a lot more work needs done on pricing of FC's for cars.

There are a plethora of companies researching H2 from water. Electrolysis.. Passing a current through water ,(normally ionised), to produce H2 and O2. Recent research has produced H2 from untreated sea water with electrolysis. Green H2 is when the electricity used is renewable, and grey H2 when electricity if from fossil fuels. SRM produces grey H2, and blue H2 when the C products produced are captured. The most popular Fuel Cell is a PEM. ( proton exchange membrane), but other 'types' are being used and researched. One of the headwinds with H2 is storage, both in the vehicle and at the delivery point. At present it is compressed, and needs resilient tanks. Liquid H2 is very volatile ( rocket fuel), and needs expensive insulation. At the the present time, delivery point companies ( eg ITM), use compressed gas. I would like to see more research on using anhydrous metals as H2 carriers. These compounds are able to adsorb large quantities of H2, which can be supplied in containers, from the forecourt retailer , placed in car replacing an empty one, and the H2 released by an electric charge. In an accident, no gas leakage. The mm's are fighting back for the ICE. Toyota will be using a H2 powered ICE in a forthcoming rally, and others will follow. Watch this develop. mm's know where the money is.

ICE's are complex, computer controlled and need regular, expensive servicing, and every car owner has been 'ripped off' by service, repair bills and parts. Electric motors are not so complex, and newer generation EM's will be more efficient. mm have to supply what the market wants, and what Govts decree. At the moment, BEV's are expensive because the 'profit' mm's are 'losing' on ICE cars, it is front loading on the sale price of EV's. New mfrs, solely for mfrg EV's will bring the price down. The problems for FCEV's next.

It is a step in the right direction. Their CEO talked of it accelerating the roll out of DMG. It would have been helpful if he had stated thst this roll out is dependent upon the success of Protos DMG?

I know geography is not one of your strengths, but the continent of South America is on a different time zone, which means that the Sun rises at a different time to you in the UK, and it is a later time. Understand so far. Brasil is 4 hours behind BST. ( British Summer Time). So, when I post at 1pm UK time it is 9am here. Got it. good. When I post it is after I have been for exercise on Copacabana beach, and may be a little swim, depending on sea roughness. What the travel brochures do not tell you, is the sea can be very rough, 2 mtr waves are common every day. Not for kids.

As far as jealousy goes. Look back in my post a couple of years ago, on SOU, and you will find some details of my sad life. Briefly:
A guy from Chile, in the wine business, bought a Schooner , moored in RdJ. He brought a crew from Chile, but wanted 3 more bodies to help sail it back to Valparaiso. A friend on mine, who has a smaller yacht, and knows The Captain, asked me. We had a layover in Trinidad, and another in Aruba, for supplies, and then via the Panama Ship Canal, sailed to Galapagos, for a 2 day layover. Sailing down the S coast of America, we stopped briefly in 2 towns in N Chile to pick up 2 friends of his, and continue to Valparaiso. The three of us from RdJ drove to Santiago, where our wives met us , and we had 3 days skiing before flying back to Rio. All the time I was thinking I could be on the beach at Clacton, talking to the likes of dra. Jealous! lol.

A mistake was ZOE, a CBD co., bought at 5 p and sold all at 50p, and still going up. Will re-buy. I have only once recommended a share to buy and that was WATR. I was invested in a dog water company, and suggested to posters there to look at WTR. which were about £2 at the time.
One for the future, but do your own research, is SEE, which I bought at c4p.

According to figures I've seen on Google, every day, 100, 000 tyres are scrapped in UK alone., and that garages/tyre fitter,s are charged £2-3 each tyre collected because they have been banned from land-fill sites. May be a garage gal/guy on here can confirm or deny?
At an average weight of 9Kg per tyre, that's 900 tpd. At mo. the vast majority is shipped in containers to India, where it is shredded ( mainly by children), the steel recovered and sold, and the rubber subjected to pyrolysis to manufacture a cheap oil, carbon black and lots of pollutants.
A DMG plant solely for tyre recycling will have an income of 20000/9 X £2(?) x 340 ( days) = £1.5M pa. on being paid to remove the tyres. Then there is the sale or use of the H2/syngas. I would envisage a HFCV collection service for the tyres ( about 2200 pd). Additional to the capital cost would be a tyre shredder machine and associated steel recovery. Estimate £500K. Assume a wholesale selling price of gas of £2/Kg ( A HFCV car will run about 60 miles on Ikg of H2 so leaves plenty of profit for retailer. Retailing on site adds to profit), = 4000 X 340 = £1.36M pa. If capital cost is £10M, less than 4yr pay back.

Now that 'cig-packet' calculation is what the majority of informed investors would have done, the better informed might have taken this approach. 5000 units at 20tpd is 100,000tpd , at say 340 working days in the year is 34M tpa. . Estimates vary, but a decent guide is the Worlds production of plastic is about 350Mtpa. So Tim going for 10% of the Worlds supply is 'bold'. Some may argue that the total plastic production will increase yoy, I would argue the opposite, since both retailers and mfrs are keen to reduce the quantity. Possible an organic substitute for plastic which can be fed to the dog after use. You never know? In ant event, it's a huge market, and that is why I'm very disappointed with the 'slow' adaption of PHE technology. I have a crucially different model, albeit slight, I'll put forward, one in which I would personally invest in a DMG plant. tbc.

Since O/H are negligible in this model, I'll assume all of this is earnings. If I give it an average P/E of 15 ( there's no peer to compare), then we have a MC of £37.5B, ( one of the UK's biggest companies). With, say, 4B shares in issue, that is an sp of £9.37. This will please the herd, since they will all be millionaires. I'll be a multi millionaire. The BOD will be Billionaires. Now, don't get too excited, this will now happen, and I'll heap praise on the poster who tells me why not. ( And Tim talking BS is not the answer, although it's very good and observant).

and for the FOAK in Cheshire, this 'can be built very quickly' plant is at least 12 months away now. He has no control over it, Peel does. We can only hope our 'partners' in Eu and Asia have more drive than Tim and Peel.
