Wonder if anyone else had these thoughts when they saw the research note..?

The 14p price target is in the area I would call 'no man's land'..
It's pseudo legitimate in that it takes a broad sweep of 10-fold increases across the folio (possible), but but it isn't spicy enough to light a fire under the share price and excite the Twitterati.

In some ways I feel this could hang as a millstone around Pires' neck for a while.

Paradoxically, they enlisted Mirabaud to add weight, but by "legitimising" a circumspect price valuation, it's somewhat takes away the dream of this being a multibagger...ie this has leashed PIRI to a rather uninspiring pricetag imo.

My personal thoughts are that 14p will be way undervalued long term (in fact the broker already has a High estimate of 21p),
And I'm not sure this Note had added anything to the attraction of PIREs as an investment.

Although I have seen unexpected almost back-to-back fundraisers before with companies.. and the second broker is usually one indicator of that..obviously not here..(yet!)

When I said I "feared" a fundraise, I should have been more precise in my language..

What I should have said is that I was waiting for another fundraise before buying more, as I thought the price would remain circa 3p.

I agree that fundraisers (especially with the Akers MO/ effect ) seem to result in increasing share price and confidence as warrants get higher

I certainly do welcome your input, the more the merrier and the more information the better we can judge.

I also have quite a large investment here, which I started at the 3-4p mark after the inevitable post-fundraise fall. I've built up a substantial stake, and obviously therefore confident here.

As you say some of these Investments could go off the scale - and although PIRI has a relatively small stake in each, they could be worth millions to PIRI respectively..

I'm also eagerly awaiting the broker note, which will give some great insight into potential value (albeit maybe optimistic as they usually are)..

I held off buying more when they appointed a second broker, as I feared another imminent fundraise - which undoubtedly they will need at some point for growth.

My other 'fear'( although some will see it as an opportunity) is that a firm RTOs into PIRI if Chris Akers continues to add and exert power.

I'd like to see PIRI grow into a 10- 20Mlion MC company before that happens...
I agree with your present valuation, and that it is out of date. At the moment we are definitely not overvalued, compared to other companies of this ilk..

Ps.. the reason nothing will move it is that this is being completely controlled by the MMs within a very narrow trading range..

They know the only thing of importance is the next move by Chris Akers , or company announcement

I think you've presented a false choice there with Chris Akers' investments.

You say why would he increase in PIRI when it would be "cheaper here".
It's a totally illogical comparison. The companies are completely different with different futures.

For what C Akers intends to do, he may not need more of a stake here, but may need a bigger portion of PIRI.

Trafalgar is a complete shell and may not need increased control at the moment. It's going nowhere , whereas Pires is a growth investment Company in a hot tech sector with increasing valuations.
That's the growing investment case, and could become multiples of present value.

Traf is basically a shell company, and nothing might happen for weeks or months.
I wouldn't listen to Twitter and you've got to make your own decisions, what's right for you.

I think you swerved the question there! Ie what is fair valuation contemporaneously?

And you present a contradiction in outlook, in that you stated previously that a share like this should NEVER be held for more than a year.. Which then presents a problem with future evaluation.

It is very difficult to assess the SOTP here in tech, as some valuations are way off the scale in this sector , and it's worth remembering that PIRI has only a fraction of SVV, which also only has a fraction of those investments.

Imo, it's possible that multiples of Pires' present price can be achieved purely on momentum and sentiment, but to give it real foundation, would probably require more dynamic larger direct investments (and for that fundraisers will certainly be required) or a very successful RTO into one of it's more lucrative assets.

Personally, I would not welcome this (RTO) in the near future, and would like to see some value growth before that possibility.

Overall value also depends on the long term stability of this sector, which could continue a massive upswing or crash at some point.

But not withstanding all that, what is your estimate fair value for PIRI at the moment? (Or do you feel it is impossible without transparency of investments)

Just out of interest, when you say you fear PIRI will go from extreme undervaluation to extreme overvaluation, what do you think is fair value for Peres Investments at the moment ?

Also remember that TERN valuation went up to circa 60Mill at one point ..still at around 21Mill..

PIRI is @ 7Mill.. loads of room for upside

New 3% holder John Mahtini just tweeted "forget 10p, looking for £1 plus"

Take that with whatever mound of salt you feel appropriate..

Yes, well someone or something has been selling in giant chunks today - but this could again be large transfers to other parties.
Yes, all those 70p transactions, and the fact that initial warrants on proposed fundraise were £1.30 and higher, does lead down the path of increased value..

but whether we're all being like down a different garden path is another issue!

I'm absolutely certain there are a few people making megabucks out of this, but, as you said PIs are really stabbing in the dark over whatd going on behind the scenes.

In a slightly worrying meta-analysis of this, I do have worries that the tech sector is in a bit of dot.com bubble, and wonder if many of these are going to come crashing down anyway at some not so distant point

Approx £2million quid @ average 16p.. and we are double that.

Although I'm not sure that I agree with your conclusion that it's not a great profit or AAA if warrants exercised, even with a 7 p cost.

By my reckoning that's an average of 16p, which is 3.6Million quid.
Not chicken feed but I suppose it depends on the recipient and the context.
