Yes, this is a good example of the mysterious way the market values a business..
While other companies with much less, and certainly far less potential than PIREs, are trading at several multiples of value (and even that intrinsic value being spurious), PIRI find itself basically trading at NAV, even though the business has demonstrated it is picking up substantially income and turning a profit.
Whether the market is struggling for true valuation, or a bandwagon effect (sparked by Mr Akers), has not really started, we do seem rather sluggish.
I don't think the broker note will have excited many, as it was rather superficial guesswork, and also significantly understated the potential of some of the investments imo.
Wondering if if potential warrants hitting the market is holding this back a bit.
But if certain large holders hang on to their shares and increase, then I can see the free float being squeezed, and then I think the uplift will begin with good news flow
