Short abuse when people don't hear what they want to hear. no wonder many fair minded people stay away from herd-drien share boards - which are riven with the 93% of people who lose money on AIM shares.

When I say the MMs will take the share price down on a sniff of good results, I mean they will scoop it down big time for a small time to collect shares.. and spook people.
Seen it loads of times.

And as for saying I posted the same thing.. well as you'll see I rarely come on here.. unlike the usual crowd who seem to say the same thing every day.

MMs won't want to be exposed either way so will play it safe until results imo

Seriously folks, this is a double-blinded trial , so there will obviously been some indication that the drug works else there would be no trial !

But this is only indicative and not statistically proven - and this trial could go either way.

I've no idea why people expect the share price to go up into the outcome - I've never seen that before with trials, and results are usually well guarded.

In fact the MMs are more likely to take this down dramatically (rather than up) if they get a sniff of a good result as they'll need fistfulls of shares to sell into a rampant buyers market.

Imo 60/40 towards a good result.. hoping for an outstanding result, but may just show a slight insignificant statistical tendency to work.
We'll see soon.

I believe new contracts are coming in, and the company want a few more of these under their belt to strengthen the IPO .

Is that reliable or just hearsay? if it's true have you any idea why it's been put back and when it will be floating?

You're totally kidding yourself if you believe Vela is more than the Covid trial short- medium term, and what sentiment will do.

You're very vital in attacking contrarian views Coasliner (RMM too), but the facts are that this trial result will dictate Vela's future, as it's other assets are not performing at all.
Me thinks you're over-invested.

I'm quietly confident of a positive result, but not totally confident. Very positive covid trial with attendant commercialisation woukd transform this company

GUN only disposed of 7% of Eagle Mountain - and it was a 6-bagger at the time.

Personally I would have got rid of 20%.

This game is all about making profits and GUN are beginning to make a habit of it.

I think there's a few fun and games going on with these large share trades.
I've been in a few companies recently where you would think TR1s would be triggered..
I sometimes wonder how many of these are MM trades between themselves, or occasionally holders being a bit loose with declaring.

Sometimes you see large sells and wonder in the present circumstances why people would be selling - as GUN appears near a positive inflection point, but I think warrant holders will be flipping theirs..

On the other hand if you look at the other exchange (Aquis ) there were two £25K back to back buys..

Yes, the potential here is looking excellent ..
Just a quick calculation and I think we're now at approx £6.5Mill NAV (Inc cash) without any uplift on Rincon, Rogue Baron and not taking account of the potential jewel in the crown -Low6 (although Rincon also has amazing potential)..

So we are very slightly above NAV and almost right at the start of the journey

You are asking a question of perspective and relativity Angoose..
Maybe if you invert the question and ask how can PIRIs be trading at double ?

Seems to me that Pires has been way overvalued vs NAV while GUN is actually approx @ NAV..but tech stocks are in that hot sector at the mo.

Does that make GUN undervalued?
Depends whether you think it should be trading at multiples of NAV.

The market doesn't think so at the moment and is valuing it maybe correctly..(but not taking into consideration potential)

PIri was always going to get a shock on the results..but had two IPOs (including our own Low6 one) which could raise the value substantially.

I think the results were always quite a show a massive premium to NAV - and I think they put the account back because they knew this (and to take advantage of the tax position)..

But with Low6 and Pluto both probably set for May IPOs, we could be looking at immediate uplift of 30- 40% -plus to present MC if they go as expected

Investors will have to decide on their own risk balance, but saying there is little potential downside is just misleading

If the trials are a total failure it'll probably knock £2million off the MC+ some more for negative sentiment.
The problem then will be that something like MODE will need to 6 bag to recoup the loss.
Like you say there are other investments and potential future investments for Vela..but they have put an awful lot of eggs in one basket.

So, a highly anticipated RNS for the Covid trial. I reckon we will get results early June.
