Something here smells odd. We have product that works and has CEIVD approval for sale in the EU. We have product waiting for approvals in the largest markets including the US and India. We have distribution lined up in 11 countries and £1m ‘trials’ orders. We have raised £8m and have a POC solution that is in the NHS and WHO endorsed for other tests with sales now in play for this year. The US DOD have bought another 500 POC devices for use by their soldiers for biothreat detection.

Why are we going down on thin trading volumes?

Who benefits from this trend?

Would there be more buyers if this was going up rather than down?

Agree, at some point the business needs some really good commercial injection. But at the moment they are creating a suite of highly valuable AI based software that needs to go through its ‘development and evaluation’ phase. Clearly some can and will gain FDA approvals such as stonechecker and may offset some of the development costs. The next phase clearly has to be commercialisation now. Market cap is reflective of the current stage, sales will increment the market cap significantly. We wait.

This has to be the thinnest trading day so far, I suspect the bottom is reached and we are all now waiting for news on approvals and what sales these trigger. I heard test provision in the U.K. is on the decline and the emerging markets are where the biggest demands are currently. Also that it’s all about distributor network in those territories. Interesting times ahead for sure. The next phase for testing is going to be POC and local testing to allow constant monitoring with immediate action. I think GDR has both of these angles covered. Time to shine guys, news soon I hope.

@sadiq you just have to consider the market cap. When sales come in we can be valued at a multiple of sales plus some future value amount for new products etc. At £50m turnover I suggest a MC of £100m+ is possible. Thats £2 per share. Opinion.

It is as you say Safy gut wrenching, countries like South Africa and India are on an exponential rise and I fear geo where the world is heading. My honest view is there will be multiple waves of this terrible disease and as time progresses different strains will wreak havoc with countries healthcare systems unless governments do the right thing and spend on proper testing and isolation programs. We are really at the foothills of this pandemic.

@sam, I think its 60k beads, so about 6k plates, thats still £250k investment so not insignificant. I reckon they'd send a few plates to each customer to test so say 6k plates is perhaps 1,500 customers potentially... back of an envelope

@scart, yes agree, and SARS POC. I think once India or US approvals come in the sentiment here will be very different and there'll be a flush out of the negativity that the stall has had here. There are so many positives to the GDR business that's for sure.

By October we will have both US and India approvals and sales channels delivering product to market. There is no way that with US distributor partners already lined up that they won't be pre-selling product. As sure as the second wave is coming GDR sales are lining up behind the scenes.

My view / opinion is that we will see at least one of the territories give approvals before the end of July, most likely India but could equally be the US. There will be an announcement and the market cap will climb back to £50m+. This will be followed by an RNS about the sales partner and initial orders in that territory. Same again with following territory.

exactly @bigAl, it's ridiculous to say October unless LP knows those things won't happen, in which case I agree, but I don't

@LP I'm ok with you disagreeing, my thoughts are around market cap and future value and I agree the delay in approvals has caused thin trading which has caused the drop, but inherently I think the value for the business is much higher hence I'm buying back in whilst the sell off is happening into no news flow. Fundamentally there is not change here to warrant the lower share price, my opinion which I'm backing up with more buying.

@LP, I've also been buying as the price dropped whilst we're waiting for news... I think that's simply sensible share dealing isn't it? We all Belize it will come good

I do think we should still be sat at the £1.50 level before approvals, we are sort of sat where we should be if approvals were delayed due to technical performance rather than a process delay... really frustrating for share holders but its out of DB's hands. He could however be updating on POC process as they must have done some initial evaluations already.

@kd, please keep checking, I suspect that perhaps they may get published there first and DB would then issue an RNS, maybe not but what a buying opportunity if it was like that, perhaps buy then tell ;-)
