I agree Bladderman, this now has a great look to it. Let's see what today brings, I suspect (well I hope) it falls back a little so my 60p is triggered, but I suspect it will stagnate or show a small increase. Next week will begin the climb, approvals RNS will drop and with it a description of the distribution channels in that territory. I suspect the RNSs are already written!

Will there be a Friday RNS to give us all a weekend lift? Patience will be rewarded here, eventually. I'm hopeful of one of the key approvals next week, only based on elapsed time, nothing else. But they will come as the GDR team will have done a good job and the Cytiva manufacturing is very scaled and consistent. Good luck, hold tight.

@Lp, ok I agree the the value goes up at that point, I just think some of our manufacture and distribution partners will be eyeing this opportunity up, its a steal in my opinion, time will tell.

@sam, yes, I bought and held fast on my buy back in price. Glad I didn't buy back in at £1 but stuck to 80p, at which point it slid right past. I've got another buy order in for 60p, today may be the day!

The GDR POC platform IS in market as of a few months back

@Lp, they have POC HCV and AIHL tests and have and are selling the POC system to the US DOD...

@sam, sorry, in a takeover you take out the board and control from the parent company. It's a smart move to the right business. Let's see, gonna happen sometime or another that's the endgame here

Let's say company X is interested. GDR has a value, it's market cap. Obviously no one can buy at this market cap, so say its value is £100m. Shareholders at todays price will go, yeah! Company buys at £100m and over next year or so makes most of this back on the back of the transient COVID test. Why not?

Can't be zero, either more or less than 50%. Personally I wouldn't discount it so readily.

@sam I had the same problem this morning, I bought an egg and cress sandwich from the shop, I hate egg and cress but it was the cheapest one there. Go figure :-D

@tea, agree this could take weeks or it could be days, until then we are at the mercy of the trickle of sellers in the market. After approvals and after sales we will resume normal service.

Interestingly Novacyt have the opposite problem. Large sales but a sliding price. Companies can't seem to get it right either way!

Early on it was obvious, the II's were selling into share demand. This had stopped, likely because we are sat well below 80p. Trading is very thin, so MMs are taking the price down further. They'll say demand for shares is low so they can only take the share down until demand picks up. I guess that's it, simply demand is low until news comes.

@dream, from a PI's perspective there simply hasn't been a major sell off, look at the trading volumes, very thin. There was a sell off by the II's that were always reported out of hours, odd. But the smaller PI trades have been very thin, most locked in and waiting for news. Personally I think there is something more calculated happening here. I can't work out who the beneficiary would be.

@blustington, agree, it doesn't sit right. Remember they bought and sold on the last drop, with shares that have limited availability like GDR it seems like there may be something odd happening there...

Question to anyone who knows, can a group like SpreadX sell to bank their own short position when trading is thin? i.e. can they open a short and then sell to crash the price?

LB I agree. Before it was II’s selling, but there have been no more RNSs regarding selling so I suspect something else. The Spreadx holding worries me with regard to shorting. Maybe that’s the problem.
