What data are we meant to believe. The https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk website says new cases tested positive is around 800 per day but now data from the Office for National Statistics shows there are around 4,200 new infections a day compared with 2,800 a week ago. If the ONS numbers are correct that's around the maximum number of new positive cases reported at the height. It's all very bizarre.

It's an absolute farce.

You can't have a social distance wedding where people know each other and would not go if they had symptoms, but you can go to the cinema and sit next to someone who does't care who they infect.

Measures that are important to implement are implements in days or weeks in the future, why not immediately?

Rise in infection rates in several parts of the world is not a "second wave" according to Chris Whitty, but he says if people increase the number of people they meet, the virus rate will inevitably increase.

India needs its own approvals, US needs FDA and Africa will predominantly use WHO (some exceptions).

But those that complain about the lack of RNSs should be under no illusion, things will be happening in the background so that no time is lost. Genedrive will not want to miss getting their product out, not least because it may save lives. Whilst approvals are waited on, their POC platform will be going through its paces ahead of its own approvals.

If there is a material change to what has previously been announced, the company is legally bound to make that public at the earliest possible time.

RT-PCR test - Detects target RNA in a sample, most sensitive test available
Antigen test - Detects a protein or peptide on the target but not as sensitive as RT-PCR
Antibody test - Detects if a person has antibodies to the target and hence if they have previously been exposed

Thank you ST, I try to keep factual, I am positive e about GDRs and have been since I invested. The product is neat, the market more than it ever has been and now the need is much more visible. Diagnostics does have to be done correctly, the professionalism of the bod is good, they don’t over egg anything and I see this can be frustrating to some. But I’m sticking with this COVID play and the future with their other tests is looking very good too.

Who trades a single share? Someone clearly desperate to be out :-D

@KD, that's correct, we are likely in clinical studies and all of that gets wrapped into documentation for processing and approval. It's all in hand!

@safy, agree, as frustrating as it seems things are on track and it's only frustration that makes people think we are loosing ground, we're not. August is going to be the month for approvals, I feel it too...

@DD77 I hear what you say, we have a different view and that's ok. I'm open in that I sold some at £1.70'ish, bought back at 65p and 70p, I've been a holder since 2016 and know the industry. I'm sitting tight and happy.

everyone has their view, my view is when approvals come we are in a strong position not only to supply in very large quantities, that our product is the best suited to territories where the pandemic is exploding. I believe others are not, they were just happy to make and sell crap.

I also believe the Genedrive POC product is better suited to port of entry, care home and hospital AE departments.

Sorry Tea I have done this before and talk from some experience. Regulatory bodies will not engage with you until you have your approvals because this sets their agenda. Only at this point will they look at the test and performance claims to establish what they would want to see in clinical study (size, samples) and then designate a lab to perform that study. This takes time. As I see no delay in what GDR did here. All is in order.

You don't sell your stock to countries outside of your initial target markets if you're looking to provide a continuity of supply. That's how ethical businesses behave.
