Agree Private, and the length of time will tell us a lot as I suspect the quantum of the deal would be known before the LOI as LOI's generally make discussions exclusive and include a ball park.

Seems like the share price is a little stuck until the quantum of the deal is known about. It's anyones guess as to the direction this will head - at the moment 5p is about where it is.

What we know it that there will be a cash element and a royalty. The cash element will likely cover costs to date in getting the product to market and to get FDA approvals. I think someone else has stated this was between £500k and £1m. Then there is the royalty. But what they would also have to consider is the 'lock out' of other manufacturers. For example if it is Siemens that is interested then they'd prevent IQAI from selling it to rival platforms. Thats a commercial advantage and would be reflected in the up front component perhaps. Interesting to see where this goes. As I mentioned on different occasions here, don't be surprised if this turns into a sale of the whole business to an equipment manufacturer like Siemens... not just Stonechecker... time will tell!

The change to saliva is probably helped significantly with the bead format of the GDR reagent because it means you are only adding sample to rehydrate the reagents, no dilution of the sample which improves sensitivity. Otherwise with tests like NCYT the reagents a pre-hydrated and added wet to the sample leading to a significant dilution, as much as 80-90% depending on the formulation. It's a big deal.

Complete speculation on my part, but I suspect perhaps an offer for the whole business may be on the cards. Just a feeling.

So the interesting question to everyone is, if there was an offer what would people be happy with? Realistically it would be north of where it is today and probably double digits since the last raise was at 9p. So in which case does that not suggest the SP currently undervalued.

It is big, if everything pans out as we expect this will provide a fully integrated system, automated extraction and test. It would jump ahead of others because Beckman can offer the complete solution and a very easy format, reducing errors and maximising sensitivity as only the sample needs to be added. It also shortens the processing time and limits chances of pipetting errors as you're only pipetting one thing.... sample.

For GDR it provides world wide market access. For Beckman it provides a world class diagnostic.

It's an interesting one this, LTHs will know there's been debate around a) is anyone interested and b) what's it worth. We simply have no expectation but we do know that news could come any time in the coming weeks. So it's likely that share price won't know what to do. Will it climb on expectation or drift on not knowing... and as an investor here what do you do? If I thought it was going to fall I'd sell and buy back in, but it could shoot up if the deal is good and I'd miss the chance.... in some ways I wish that RNS didn't come out!

Reading through this document on WHO EUL, it seems like we are very close to having approvals from WHO which is great news. Hard work is the documentation which is now submitted!

Saint, on balance I agree whole heartedly with what you say. Of course it all depends on the FDA approvals, but when they are received the collaboration with Beckman puts us into a different league as diagnostics labs want to buy complete systems from a provider. Markets cap here could easily move to £100m and then higher with accumulated sales. An interesting time for holders here, and particularly the long term holders.

but gut feel is that someone is and making a good profit. Of course when more sustaining news comes in they'll benefit further with a rocketing SP potential

Down on thin trading, as soon as volume dries up MM take the price down to force sellers out, of which there are few. Hopefully this will reverse throughout the day.

@Big no it does't, but it does automate so there is an overall time reduction. I suspect the biggest time is getting sample to the lab and stacking up, processing something in 90 minutes becomes rather irrelevant in that time logistics chain.

@Antony, agree, plus now Danaher involved in production and at the sales end it just adds room for flexibility in the cost of goods calculation. It really is a smart move by DB and he should be given credit as he has come in for some stick on here over the past few weeks.

Hi Big, most countries around the world will have large centralised labs that are robotised, some more than others. I suspect India will have some but not as many as say the US with groups like Quest. The Genedrive plates can be used both with robots and also manually, covering both ends of the spectrum. I really think that over time we will see exactly how versatile the Genedrive product is. Bottom line is that Beckman see the commercial value here and how it streamlines their process, others will follow.

@Matt, I do see this consolidating at around £1.50 ahead of approvals, it's a really exciting time now these commercial strategies are becoming more apparent.

@Haimlichill, agree, this collaboration would enable Genedrive to service the larger robotised diagnostic labs where Beckman are significant suppliers world wide. I don't think that collaboration is limited to India.

We should see a consolidation above £1 today I think. Yesterdays news certainly puts the Genedrive test in the top tier of systems once approvals in the US are granted. In terms of volumes it's likely that the Beckman/Genedrive system would require millions of tests in the US alone. The fact that Danaher own both Beckman and Cytiva means that production and manufacturing costs can be modified to suit demand. Don't be surprised if this turns into a licensing deal to better control costs. Whatever it is potentially transformative as a single deal.

it will break through and go past the £1 is my prediction. There's not a lot of sellers below otherwise the MMs would have dropped further to collect. They've had the opportunity for weeks now, time to head up and establish new support at £1.50 - just a prediction based on my opinion

@LB, again more nuanced than we all thought before. Think about this, Danaher own both Beckman and Cytiva. That sure leaves a lot of room for controlling pricing, profit and capacity doesn't it!
