Agree, these larger trades suggest groups building a position. 1.5m shares being the first notification threshold. Something brewing.

Interesting, that coincides with the 5 days for lab approval. If true GDR must be waiting for the official notice and possibly coinciding with the lab approval and first test availability.

If Genedrive now have their clinical data for a saliva based test that can deliver an RT-qPCR result in 30 minutes or so, they will become the de facto POC test, that would tie up both lab and POC testing

Those that said we were heading to £1.00 last week were called rampers, but today would be called derampers. There's not such thing, just opinion on whether a person takes the opposite view.

Government need to wake up and take testing seriously and stop this wishful thinking that if they stall things will blow over. This isn't a negotiation. Genedrive doesn't need investment, it needs a commitment to orders, that's all.

@longrun, and has a 30 minute saliva test in clinical trials. It's a shame that on sky news this morning they interviewed the CEO of a Chinese startup saying they could produce a 30 minute test... We already have one. Sky should be investigating the wasted time and effort the UK government is spending looking elsewhere rather than what we have in this country. Woeful.

@hypermarlin, I really think Genedrive are focused on supplying a few very large contracts rather than lots of smaller ones. In the US thats via their partnership with Beckman. They only need one large contract (eg Quest) and that would take most of their 10k per hour manufacture capacity. They can build from there.

It makes sense in my view as GDR don't have a larger support team needed for 100's customers.

On POC, we are waiting to see if their system can be rolled out, we know from the website they are looking for a 30 minute saliva test. A gold standard qPCR at POC would be huge.

They won't announce pricing because if a special price was negotiated here then everyone will want the same price, similarly I am not sure they'll want competitors knowing their pricing strategy.

Time will show that Genedrive is the only viable poc platform. It’s proven in terms of operational capability, it’s used by DOD and NHS and has been through a number of clinical validations for HCV and AIHL. It works. It’s only a matter of time before it rises to claim its place in the testing regime.

It will come soon, a push to £1.50 today, I can see £2 ahead of news purely on the increasing trading volume.

Heading just one way... so much potential to be realised here

Basically the GDR test allows 8x standard PCR machines to feed 1x realtime PCR machines.

Cost of 8x standard PCR + 1x qPCR machine is £44k or there about's compared to £160k for 8x qPCR, almost 75% saving in cost for instruments.

As well as efficiencies, it also harnesses the more readily available and significantly cheaper standard PCR machines to do the grunt work, allowing a smaller number of expensive qPCR machines to do the final analysis. The cost savings and availability of equipment is massive. Someone with 'lean' type experience needs to look at this properly in the round .

the other covid stocks are already at very high market caps, delivery built into their share price to a larger degree. Genedrive by contrast has no delivery built in to the current share price with a market cap of only £60m. A lot to come here once news that enable sales happen. Bear in mind to that the news we wait fires the starting gun, our product is proven to work and work very well.
