I'm sure I read somewhere that this was the LAMP test being run on Genedrive in partnership with Liverpool, but I can't remember where I read it....

Interestingly the article doesn't say how many negatives were falsely called positive and why it had a higher positive rate for asymptomatic versus symptomatic participants. It's very interesting, but I suspect it will need follow on tests to confirm, like that Abbott test that needs negative results to be confirmed by qPCR...

Good for us Danaher, Beckman and Cytiva are US owned I guess...

Cwalsh, I think the wording was actually reagents and services, so not equipment as such, but yes they will be reagents and services supplied to more than just GDR, but both equally apply to GDR. I simply don't know what other businesses are using Cytiva as none have been announced and that's odd because as a business you'd mention Cytiva as a suppler...

what portion of that is GDR who knows, but GDR is the only PCR provider named by Cytiva, I doubt all 50m would be GDR tests though!!

No Jay, Cytiva said their reagents and services had been used to test 50 million people by PCR...

I saw a slide from Cytiva stating their lyo process had provided PCR tests for 50m people, not sure who other than GDR they’re manufacturing for?

I think the FDA are saying that type of test is no longer a priority for the US market, I suspect because of Abbott... they can do what they like, they're the FDA!

Completely political IMO as it competes with Abbott's recently approved test and Abbott have spent $100ms buying production capability to service the US market. I do think therefore it's deprioritization is interesting. It is antibody based not PCR so I suspect with BC as a partner we have some potential to lobby at least...

If there was a material problem with the approvals then the Company would be legally bound to report this to the market. No news is no news.

Mags, agree that for the average trader day to day, but someone buys low and sells high, and I bet they're the ones who understand the business more than the day traders. The issue here to my mind isn't the 'if' it's the 'when' and in between sentiment create the rolling waves of share price movement the brave can surf.
