There are a number of things here. Firstly this is a very specialised RNA vaccine. There have been no other RNA vaccines for human diseases. They require careful storage prior to use, it’s not a GP administered vaccine. Logistically it requires an infrastructure that doesn’t yet exist for mass vaccination. And then there’s the trial size and potential hazard of a vaccine that integrates its RNA into the human host muscle cells. Testing is here for a while longer!
This will balance back out. I think the drop as much about investors moving back into airlines as panicking they loose out in the stocks that will help the airlines. Vaccination 90% effective so far, resting of those until vaccination essential. Long term the effectiveness of this completely new class of RNA vaccines that have never been used for human vaccinations before... still a lot of unknowns.
They are legally obliged to tell the market of any material problems, they are not obliged to tell the market if the business is running to statements it's made. No news is no news. Sales will have happening, until EOYRs they are not obliged to say unless it creates a material change ie colossal single order out of line of expectation
is there any truth to the statement I've heard on other boards that institutional investors won't buy in the market if the market cap is below £50m? That says we need to rise a little more before they come in if that's indeed a true statement... that could easily happen over the coming days
not long before US investors come in for the afternoon, last shake for the MMs, similar pattern to yesterday? I may be wrong but it certainly looks that way to me
