The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I think this is huge news.
RBS today - great news sp up imv.
Great results and divi up so sp should rise imv. The one fly in the ointment for me is the ambiguity of ' sustainable and progressive dividends' , does this mean cut, increase or steady? Looking at cash flows the divi is only 30% ish so could mean increase above the already generous 10% yield. Sp could double and still offer competitive returns!
Raj, for shares outside an isa or sipp you willowe cgt on gains above £6k. Therefore , assuming profit of about £3 on each share I would sell 200 shares before 5 April. I would invest the proceeds in either Lgen or MSI but dyor. Good luck.
Psk yes my mistake . Bloomberg reported that Nike beat analysts expectations and they are slightly up after hours. Lululemon are dwon 10% after poor results - but they are slightly niche imv.
Nike results - everything seems to be up around 3% but margin up 150% - so bodes well for JD imv considering the doom and gloom in the sp.
WE also have lululemon reporting in usa tonight so fingers crossed for them and Nike !
I feel sorry for all investors here with the exception of the directors in this company who participated in the deceitful acquisition of Flybe about 4 years ago. I hope they lose their shirts!
PSK - good read across from nxt results - will we remain more profitable than them? Find out soon!
Fre, it took us over 40 years to pay iran money we owed them for Tanks that were not delivered and even then we only paid to get some hostages back - what leverage does Zen have ? If it were a bhuddist company , zen might stand a chance lol.
Drift the usa economy is growing at around 3% based on energy costs that are half ours and taxation around 66% of ours which is reflected in future earnings and hence sp. Our prosects are grim and labour will not help. Net zero opportunities in the UK is what net zero means in reality.
So after millions spent in the courts the company wins the ruling but Tunisia does not pay, then what? Send them a threatening letter ? Send the boys round? Is any African country a safe place to do business these days?
The UK desperately needs cheap reliable energy just now. I heard the ceo of DOW interviewed on Bloomberg yesterday and he said our energy costs are double those in the states and they would not open any new plants in that environment and I guess the same can be said about all industries - Labour will not help and our decline will continue unless smrs come in at low costs , which i doubt somehow.
