Not that it's made any difference to the PMO sp!
Si39.....the keyword is "futures". Currently $46.16
Brent futures just passed $46. Onwards and upwards.
Have you approached Virgin Galactic SK? They might be soon able to get you on the first leg home. You could always hitch after that.
Yep. A 19% swing from the low of the day to the high, and then dribbles down, all for apparently no reason. Unfathomable really.
Capitulate even!
Yep, I see both your and AK's points. There will be those who apply for more than their "rights" in the hope that some will not take theirs up. If a lot of people/institutions do that then there could be an "oversubscription". Fair dos. I capitutate!
Cheers AK.
Grippa, yes, but the point I'm trying to get across is that fundamentally a RI cannot be oversubscribed, as only a certain number of shares will be on offer, dictaed by the number of shares currently in circulation. They will offer, say, 1 for 5. So there will be a finite number of shares on offer. Yes, you can subscribe for more, but you'll only get more if someone doesn't take up their offer. The basic RI cannot be oversubscribed, i.e. no more shares can be bought above the RI amount. I think this discussion comes down to semantics! No worries.
AK, yes, you can apply for more but will only get more if the RI is undersubscribed. The total number of shares on offer will be dictated by the number of shares currently in circulation. So a RI cannot be "oversubscribed" as such.
AK, the shares to be issued will be, say, 1 for 5 owned, so if there are 1m shares in circulation, 200K shares will be offered to investors, full stop. No-one can apply for more, unless some investors don't take up their "rights". Hence "Rights Issue". Surely??
AK, how can a RI be oversubscribed? I think you are thinking of a placing?
....a "new smart investor document"....
Surfit, anyone owning shares when the RI is announced will have a right to participate. Your broker should inform you. I'm with Barclays, and would get a "new smart investot document" emailed to me. The big boys will snap up any not taken up by PIs.
SK, that's the only one that is currently "obvious". What goes on behind closed doors with all those in the know/power is anyone's guess!
SK, Olivia, for one.
Clop, if he hadn't have done a "good" job in 2016 (or as good as he could in the circumstances), PMO would now be non-existant. I think the same applies now. Not his fault that Covid had such an effect, and he was trying to pay down debt.....he still is.
As I've said before, 75% of PMO shares are held by IIs, who are highly unlikely not to take up the RI. Why would they (not participate) , with their massive holdings? Hence, since only 75% of the RI needs to be taken up for it to pass, and since some PIs will also participate (if they have the funds), it seems improbable that the RI will fail. Just my opinion.
Part of the deal with ARCM prevented them from increasing their short until end of Septmeber.
We're not buying BT as well are we? Crikey!
