Some people are on the pitch, they think.......... Lost £4k, bad news but that's shares for you, little or no recourse for the little guys. But fraud is worse than company failing, this is still a good business that someone is going to get cheap.
What bugs me is the standard of auditing, a) by the actual auditors, this fraud has been going on for years, and b) the FTSE 100, surely they should have had a bit more of a scrutiny of how they rate companies, as most people think that it tends to better companies at the top of the tree. No one comes out of this well (accept for the thieving buggers, and the money-men who must have taken commissions and bonuses along the way) Rant over.
Twitter video of oil at C37. Seeing is believing.
been here from the start. This is typical Zen, 1 step forward, though perhaps only a 1/2 step back this time. Can't help being disappointed, not so much with the 100bod but with the failed casing etc. How long before any black stuff actually comes out. Still believe in this share but patience becoming a necessity rather than a virtue.
Just put my divis for the last 6months into Zen, got in under 4p. Feel like I am watching the fuse on a firework smouldering. hopefully will shoot skywards soon.
Zenith Energy Ltd., the international oil & gas production company operating the largest onshore oilfield in Azerbaijan, is pleased to announce that drilling operations at well C-37 of the Jafarli oilfield have commenced. come on Zen, slow but steady progress, time to move now.

At last a bit of concrete news. Hopefully we can stick to this plan. No guarantees on what will be found but at least it looks like they are about to start trying, and we know there is some oil down there.
I B&B these into ISA when at 12p and the sky looked the limit, so loss on paper is looking around 75%. Actually just made a small top up to bring my average down to 3.8 so suddenly it doesn't seem so bad. Phew, must remember to update tracking portfolio more often. Hung on long enough now, so a bit longer wont hurt. Feel we are finally on the brink of a bright day after so many false dawns.
Ok, I know the revenues are up 30% thanks to rise in oil prices rather than an increase in production, but that is surely still not a bad thing. Bodes well for when AC and co finally deliver. Fingers crossed on that one, that's all I've got.
Nice update. Fills in a few gaps and shows that there is still a plan. I can accept set backs and delays, nothing is certain, it's the vaccum of info that I find frustrating at times. Looking forward to a better year ahead. Ft
With the change in ops team and hiatus waiting on bigger rig, I have decided to 'mentaly' reset my clock on Zen. Still believe that long term this should come good, (that means a minimum of back up to 8p, my break even price). Zen more of a risk compared to where I thought they were 12months ago but small top up £2K today to lower my average and hope for good news over the next couple of months. Zen as likely to get me back in the black as any of the other possible short term punts out there.
AJB, keep up the good work. You provide an alternative view on Zen which is healthy on any forum without it descending into a ****ging match. i have large part of my savings in this too. However i do believe it will come good in the end but have a realistic target of 20-25p in 12 months, reached by big jumps on good news and then static or gradual fall backs in-between. Oh for a crystal ball.
unfortunately I have had to sell some of my holding this morning as I need a bit of cash for other reasons. was hoping to be in a better position 12mnths in, but that's the game. still hold a substantial amount (for me) and believe Zen will come good. just wish they would get their finger out.
thanks.
I know i won't see much and it will not be up to date but has anyone got the google earth coordinates for the area around Z21 and Z28 just so i can have a better idea of where we are on the map. cheers.
new to share market so excuse me if i state the obvious but recent drop in sp hopefully down to problems in region. think NMC more susceptible to these pressures due to high PE. however this PE has been sustained over a long period so i think that the stability and profitability of the company will see us through this blip.
