RE: My Monthly Intervention1 Oct 2020 13:18
You know what the dyson aston EV car isnt such an outlandish suggestion.
This is a view point on a statement. And completely Theoretical, do not react your investments on this post.
Dyson canned the project after soo many years of investing into it on a few pure reasons. one being.
"not commercially viable", "These cheap EVs would price the £150,000 Dyson electric car out of the market in its critical launch years"
So their fear was that the masses wouldnt purchase it. Lets look at Aston. who build cars well out of the price range of the masses. will they care about this? no. will they care about the boasted 600 mile capability, the brand, the style. Yes.
The old boss, didnt state on the tech, just on timescale and budget. If they no longer become a issue, then what?
So is it such a bad suggestion. Since the dyson project had Ex Aston development director. Aston martin consultants.
The production problems are simply that, problems, problems can be solved with the right ammount of money and time/heads.
There is nothing to say a new boss wouldnt want to pick up and maybe take a look into the dropped tech. Even if its just for curiosity.
It hasnt happened and chances of it happening are slim, however everthing is a theoretical so why slam it soo hard, when it is one of the least outlandish things i have read here.
Just a thought and a personal viewpoint
