Wyld Networks signs deal with Elon Musk-owned

The IoT technology company Wyld Networks has entered into an agreement with

Tesla founder Elon Musk's space company Space.

Space invests in offering broadband all over the world through Starlink and this is done by building up a fleet of satellites. Wyld and SpaceX will explore potential areas of cooperation to collect data from loT sensors at remote locations.

Both SpaceX and Wyld Networks are working on low-bandwidth satellite connectivity using low-orbit satellites. Space and Wyld will initially investigate the potential of offering ferry connectivity in North, Central and South America.

"We are excited to explore possible areas with Space where our technology can enable further connectivity and access to data from sensors and devices in remote locations," said Alastair Williamson, CEO of Wyld Networks.

"With Wyld Connect available to deliver data from IoT devices anywhere on Earth, this is a great opportunity to partner with the world's most important satellite company," he continues.

The new release of Wyld Connect reduces latency and increases capacity for delivering data via our partnerships with satellite operators Eutelsat and Lacuna. Each of our satellite operator partners has their own Low Earth Orbit satellite constellation. Wyld can communicate with each of these constellations from the one Wyld Connect module and our customers can enjoy a secure and efficient, end-to-end data management experience with Wyld Fusion. This unique satellite IoT solution reduces latency and increases capacity making sensor data even easier to obtain for sectors such as energy, utilities, agriculture, logistics and environmental management.

The LoRa FHSS protocol is used by Wyld to establish communication with Low Earth Orbiting satellites. Wyld’s AM102 IoT modules are built to easily embed into thousands of third-party sensor and device designs and will provide the required radio connectivity to allow businesses to receive data even from the most remote locations on earth.

Sensor data once collected and delivered via satellite to a ground station is then managed in Wyld Fusion. With many features such as easy onboarding, secure device provisioning, and flexible data transformation that enables effective data segmentation, Wyld Fusion is a network management platform designed for multiple operator support.

This overall strategy will enable more use cases across more business verticals.

Wyld is thrilled to announce our satellite partners’ successful launch of new Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites supporting LoRaWAN for the Internet of Things. The satellites were launched on the Space-X Transporter-7 Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Launch Complex in California on April 15th 2023.

Lacuna Space have increased their constellation from six to seven satellites. Eutelsat have now launched four satellites, ELO1,2,3 and 4. DEWA now have two LEO satellites in orbit. As capacity builds up, service for end users becomes more robust with enhanced data collection and analytics, enabling transformative services for a variety of industries including energy, utilities, agriculture, environmental monitoring, and logistics.

A USA based system integrator in the energy sector has placed an order for Wyld Connect modules and terminals for SEK 8.8 million including SEK 0.5 million for initial Wyld Data service.
