Just thinking...we misread that extension of an extension...it was nothing of the sort, just two different dates, one for the Sami Villages which is today and one for the Sami Parliament which is 2 February. Could be a very good reason for that and we overreacted I think.

Thumbs down again for the Green Party according to the opinion poll from Novus..3.4% compared to 3.7% for the previous month.

We muddled the date a bit, probably because we don't have the Swedish Page to refer to...7th is the closing date for the Sami Villages to give their response. See ADF's post yesterday...2022 Communication, 13:04.

Agree, 3card about Liverpool, The Albert Dock doesn't need any seal of approval from UNESCO. Rickmeister...My decorations come down when I feel like it but Candlemas is the proper time to aim at...the Wise Men have only just arrived, it's been a bit of an endeavour, field and fountain, moor and mountain and they deserve a bit of a welcome. :-)

Don't forget the question is when not what. I'm trying to convince myself they could easily have said no already and long ago and the UNESCO opinion was that it would create difficulties not that they mustn't do it and they didn't threaten to withdraw world heritage status.

No need to exaggerate...it's not eleven years, it's eight years, eight months and three weeks.

Paul...The latest extension given is to the 2 February...7 January is the date Tonka discovered that the Minister will answer Lars Hjalmared's question..."When will this decision be made". Lars Hjalmared (Moderate Party Member for Goteburg) fell on the ice before Christmas and the question was postponed, if you remember.

PS I don't know the answer and I'm not trying to persuade anyone in any direction. It's quite wrong that we should be put through this, year after year for 9 years. The Company has gone about it's business in a lawful way and done the work for which an environmental exploration permit was issued, investing a great deal of money in the process...and the law should be sufficient to decide it without messing us about the way they have, again and again, it's simple enough.

Does the fact that the Minister has given the Sami another 17 days, total of six weeks, to respond to the UNESCO statement, published in June, made it more or less likely that the decision will be No? That's what I'm asking myself. If Tonka is correct then we will hear the next version of the answer to the question "When are you going to make this decision"...on Friday.
