Thanks Richmeister for your very good comments...Kurt's done land remediation on a previous project and got an award for it I think....the state of the art is improving all the time, it's a very interesting business. I'll look it out sometime when I'm not so busy.

Perhaps I need to clarify that the 80% we're talking about is 80% of the iron ore produced in the EU, which is supplied by LKAB and that it is less than 15% of the total needed in the EU...in other words the EU imports iron ore from other countries.

FarEnd ....if you throw percentages around they should mean something and it's pertinent to our situation I think if we have some appreciation of how much is produced in Sweden compared too how much is needed in, say, for example, the EU. And I believe the answer is that the 80% of iron ore supplied to the EU by LKAB is less than 15% of the total requirement in the EU.

I can argue all I like, can I, FarEnd with your hypothetical bit of nonsense? Well, for starters what do you mean that Sweden produces 80% of Europe's iron ore? That's 80% of the iron ore produced in Europe not 80% of the iron ore used in Europe...Europe imports iron ore from Canada, Brazil, Ukraine, Russia; that's only the top four and I imagine Sweden provides less than 15% of the total current requirement. And what makes me a dreamer and you a pragmatist?

Hello John and all and the new faces. One thing, among others, that I would argue about with FarEnd is that LKAB have access to enough ore. For one thing, ours is better and for another, it's easier to get at. Maybe we'll have good news from Vadar in a few weeks...and there'll be drilling on Kallak which could be good. FarEnd's doesn't look on the bright side much so I'm just adding a bit of balance. :-)
