It will be interesting to see if they allow shareholders to join for the AGM or go with the ‘covid’ excuse. Can’t see why that would be the case with very little restrictions
Garonne, you have been invested here a while now, you must know it’s the sector and not just AFC. The sector is getting battered and I thought we hit the bottom end of December, but doesn’t seem to be the case but it’s not just AFC it’s all green sector stocks and pretty much all futures. It goes up and goes down, at the moment it’s down which is never nice to see, but it’s the risk you take when you and everyone else was sitting on 66p two months ago and holding on.
If it hits 45 today are you buying back in then number?
There will be a huge bounce if and when the ‘build back better’ bill is passed. It currently has a value of $555 billion in green energy grants waiting to be passed so it can be put into the industry. Personally that more than anything I think is the reason for the downtrend over the last 9-12 months, as well as inflations etc it will eventually get passed and we will then see real movement. In the meantime AFC can keep linking in with different partnerships and finish the ‘S’ series. Good news for people who are happy to wait
Ade just think yourself lucky you didn’t invest in fuel cell last Feb. Just shows the sector is the reason for the dip, it was $27 in feb and now it’s $5.5. It would need to jump 500% just to get where it was 11 months ago. This whole market is screaming ‘oversold’
Mace should be on the list of a fairly high priority with red diesel being no more in April this year. That’s when contractors will be looking to make changes to alternative (hopefully cheaper) and more sustainable options. Hopefully the government will add incentives when red diesel ends
Thanks haggis for the link. Not sure if you have said before but if you don’t mind me asking, what do you do for income? Do you trade a different portfolio of shares? Or own your own business, or retired? Just wondered how you have such available time. The links are very much appreciated
Exactly my thoughts, it seems like Biden’s wish list and it’s an all or nothing at the moment. Broken down into categories would make much more sense but I guess doesn’t have the same gloating impact as his $1.7 trillion bill being passed
From reading up on this (I invested in green energy after Biden got into power) it’s clear to see the sector as a whole has largely been effected with this bill not being passed yet as promised by Biden. A lot of money into the sector is reliant on this being passed however at the moment it’s unlikely. However if changes are made to it, it could then be passed. From what I can see, the issues with the bill are not linked to green energy side of things, it’s more the community groups for minorities and programs that don’t directly create money for their economy. So long story short am I right in thinking if it’s that that’s the issue and they remove them from the bill it may well get passed and with no negative affect to our sector, or is there more to it that does directly link to our sector?
Happy new year everyone, lots of progress was built in 2021, let’s see what it leads to in 2022 :)
Well it’s nice to make money whilst also investing in something positive that’s for sure. In my opinion AFC have spent the year getting into the right places and connecting with the right companies to be a huge part of the global change over the next few years. Sales will come, you will see many on here state we didn’t get sales for our L series which is right, we haven’t so far, we have a bigger better version (S series) coming in 2022. Now the gamble for any new or existing shareholders is will that turn into multiple sales or just a showpiece whilst we build something else better. My opinion is that Sales will ultimately come, we are in a partnership with many great companies and for that I am happy to hold and look forward to it he future.
TK I haven’t read through all the posts however in answer to your question about SP the trouble is regardless of how AFC perform it’s just as much market sentiment. If green energy is out of favour with the big cheeses the price goes down regardless of what we get up to, if the big corps start buying into green energy, which at some point they will then it will go up. All I can say is now is a very good price to get in at
No replacement have been announced either. I guess EXE will wait until this year is over
In bonds statement it says this… ‘ we remain confident of achieving published analyst market forecasts for revenue generation this year. ‘ I don’t remember seeing a forecast revenue. Anyone know what this figure is?
Garonne, your best post I think I have seen you write
Still in development stage, but with plenty lined up. Frustrating we aren’t further along but at least it’s confirmed it’s only a matter of time. Nice to know where we are now
No apology necessary, we are all a lot worse off money wise than we were whatever that reason is. Come on sector, come on AB!!!
Jgbb respectfully I disagree hence the whole point of these boards. I am not telling anyone off for moaning I am simply saying the majority of the reason the SP is where it is is due to the sector not the ‘poor performance’ of the company. In my opinion they have done a good job this year, I would agree that they have really let themselves down on no end of year report or anything to give us an understanding as to why no order have come, like that bigger projects have overshadowed small orders etc. I do think we should know more about this which could of all been covered in a half year report. But I also think or less there was an order of say 5-10m for now the SP would of still been where it is with the other updates. For me I hoped we had sales now but if the reason is for bigger things in the not too distant future so be it, but would like to know that this is actually the case. But back to my point the SP drifting is sector related not lack of news related IMO
I know everyone loves to have a moan and try and link the SP with lack of news blah blah…it’s not that that’s the issue. Look at the sector, ITM, Ceres, moving oversees, FuelCell, Ballard. They are all pretty much the lowest SP they have been in the whole of 2021. AFC is the same, we have dropped close to a low SP point and whether we had more news we still would be not far off this range. If your going to moan about SP which is completely understandable as it’s your savings/pensions etc lol ok at why the sector is so down not AFC. Ultimately at the moment Oil is still king, we will take over inevitably however the market is getting one last squeeze out of the old energy before they move over to us. Would be interested to see others thoughts ?? n the industry and why it’s dipped throughout the year. It’s very oversold so will bounce back, but none of this is to do with AFC it’s a sector decline
Haha love that Agusta
