Chaps looks like Gold and Silver are going to close in London at midnight both up, and overnight I can see the far eastern markets looking for a safe haven which should also help us.

Tomorrow we have the votes in the commons re. Brexit , and Jerome Powell is due to talk regarding recent Fed decisions. All should help.

Gold up and Silver flying - glad I am still in Hoc and CEY too. Also expect the oils to start gaining again soon as Venezuela have stopped access to certain US refineries ,etc, all to get very interesting.
Now the US shut down is stopping certain airlines land due to Airport issues. Tensions are strong we could do well here. No-one even talks now about Brexit, well Labour didn't anyway.

Chaps short tracker only records short holding over 0.50%, MW were it seems at 0.48% as they increased their position by 0.02% to 0.50% -so it reads to me.

This means they sold/shorted 02% and will need to buy back later as we know. It could explain why the price drifted for the last couple of days. I would suggest they are doing it based on currency movements. i.e. If Sterling goes up then technically a Dollar earning company will earn less? At least we now know we have a buyer out there for 0.02% for the future and so the actual price is higher than shown today. So in fact with today's rise we are still where we were a month or so ago. If we can keep going up they will be losing again. I think they are taking a risk that Sterling gains / dollar falls. .

Agree with recent posts, fundamentally we have a Gold Miner here, one that is producing Gold. I monitor this site as well as other shares but can see we track the Gold price as well as take some comfort from what will be hopefully very good news soon when production and stock in trade can be re-possessed and sold.

It the meantime we have the comfort of a Gold price supported by World Events and uncertainty. I feel this share has risk but so do all shares, and this out of the large number I hold is safer than a lot of others. However if anyone has any major doubts then they should move on and rel on their own judgement, or needs. The small value shorters show up a mile away, as most on here have a very positive outlook..

Acacia was lets face it one of the largest Gold producers and when back up to full steam the good times will continue. I also agree with MB that we should all benefit, the Govt and other Local miners included. I also see no reason why Acacia could not develop and open new opportunities.

Mitch - Gold nuggets are still exported, it is the composites or dust that is in dispute. ie. what quantity or percentage of Gold dust is included. So it is only the composites for Acacia that are banned and in dispute. So Acacia to keep the Company afloat they are concentrating only on the nuggets which generate cash.

Ellylion- This is interesting and shows progress as we all hope to have a breakthrough very soon. I am in for the longer terms and favour a smelter but BB feels it is too large a commitment what with the infrastructure needs et al etc However we all agree on one thing and that is we all expect a conclusion of the dispute soon and this share price will rise significantly and substantially. .

Not surprised by today. Many feel we are more likely to have a hard Brexit that many now favour. The market was looking for more risk and in anticipation of World events and as such certain Market shares were recovering today. No doubt some of the smaller investors hereon may possibly also have taken profits and diverted funds.

We all await for some positive news and the Gold price was slightly down with more risk on attitude. So we will wait a little bit but even if a Trade deal is agreed between China and the USA I am sure commodities will rise.

Dimi- I think also what with the falls in sterling the foreigners particularly the rich Chinese , together with the Japanese (who have no interest rates) have been snapping up properties in London.

The tide will turn for the downside when interest rates and sterling goes up, house prices have had a good run on the back of low interest rates and cheap sterling for our Eastern friends to see bargain opportunities.

Also if Brexit causes a loss of Jobs in the City or firms moving out then there will be an over supply reducing properties.

They see this as a great opportunity.

Same as yesterday the volumes are very low and therefore the daily prices are affected by smaller trades, however one trade was strange going through at 9.08 am below even the market price? which is strange because why would you want to sell for less than the market offers? Could be a small short but we know they will have to buy back later in any case.

I didn't realise the cash position had increased to over Usd80 Million, things are looking up.

Yeah good old days. I started working in Elder St. all those years ago. I had mates in the force- well still do. I also take on retired Police GSD dogs. Our best one was too friendly for the Police but made a fine house dog. He turned out to be the Grandson of the Irish National Champ, he was massive (2 ins shorter than a GT Dane) but like I found in Rugby the biggest players on the pitch were the most friendly off it.

Yes amazing what rise the House prices have seen in London. My Grandads old Houses are all worth a lot of money now in Penge and Anerley areas, which we should have kept, where even floors of houses are worth now over £1m each, when in the 60's everyone was moving out to more expensive houses in the suburbs. At one time the address was Penge, Kent.
Yes Pat I remember "Browns" and the "Blue Coat boy" for drinks with the lads. For the commons no one person can make a decision acceptable to all, and my worry is they never will be able to before the deadline. First vote on Theresa May.
