However the commons speaker has declined to allow for Mays deal be reheard in the commons and this is unlikely to help sterling. I see this (and I may be wrong) as an advantage for a dollar earning share and one where the Gold price rated in dollars as a commodity rises. Ellies news merely supports the view as should expect an update to discussions with the G.O.T. soon.

Just had a quick look at the current Gold price on Gold price.org and can't believe the increase even over the last 6 months. This stands as an increase in over 8% in USD and currently 7% in Sterling. I am therefore looking forward to the financial year end report due any day now from Acacia together with the forward looking statements!!

The facts are the volume is already up 3.5 times the daily average. I suspect the shorters this morning were buying back in and the price was up 4 to 5% which they did not want and so then they reversed their purchases to bring back down their purchases. Someone said to me they sometimes set traps, however all I see is a buying opportunity.

Sterling still down and Gold still up!!

Dimi -I agree I will not be selling any either and also see when the shorters sell it is a great time to buy. They have shown their hand (like today a lot of strange trades coming in and out) but one thing we now all know for sure is if any shorter has sold in advance they WILL have to come back later to buy back in their shares and repay their loan.

Shorters aside the conditions do improve for us with sterling down and Gold up which further underpins Acacia price.I have noticed Morgan Stanley have put a buy rating on European shares today which will also change sentiment.

Whereas last week we drifted lower on a rising pound, today we have a falling pound together with the Gold price rising.

I have noticed a trend recently and when we have the combined event happening we perfect conditions for us to provide Acacia with increased earnings, and if this continues the MW currency bet will have to be reversed, meaning a higher share price that will hopefully accelerate as they come back in to buy back what they have sold in advance of payment. ..

Olwsie - Yes been amazed with BB's thinking and very impressed how deeply he comes to an assessment. To be honest I also try and look deeply into my own dealings before I buy too. This is what one has to do to lessen the risk and makes it more of a calculated gamble. As Bloomberg says when the market is open for trading it is "on risk" and when closed "off risk". Once the letters go out to shareholders believe me the brokers will be filling their boots with this share and then will advise after their purchase what a good opportunity this was later. That is how they become rich. The problem is as I reported yesterday we don't know when the letters will be coming out but we should be getting the annual report by the end of the month and so this will be any day now in March. What the letters will say who knows but a FTSE Company does not usually send out letters to shareholders unless for a very significant and important reason due to the cost and time for the administration. Everyday the God price rises this will help too and if Sterling falls we will get another injection of cash when converting from Usd Gold to Sterling.

My contact tells me Acacia will be issuing an Annual report on the official website at the end of March, interestingly followed by an email to shareholders during April and before the AGM 23/5. The update with the Qtrly results due 25/4/19. All sounds promising to me. I cannot say anymore but business continues with optimism certainly no sign of panic here and based I would suggest on good results especially if the Gold price continues north as it is today. If sterling falls we will really fly. I invested for the long term and the current climate confirms my reasoning for the investment strategy I have here.

You are both right today and the past few days could have been day traders cashing in profits, or selling to offset other profits for the end of the tax year.

You are also right volumes today are very, very low,, and the big pointer to me is the very limited range in the sale and buy price which are virtually the same. This is not a Company in a crises where we will experience a very wide range in the bid price currently 1.98 and offer price 1.9870. A difference of only 0.0070 I feel there is a shortage of stock out there and hear one game the market makers take is to lower a share price to introduce selling as they are short of stock.

If a deal is not sorted in the short term which I am sure Barrick will insist on anyway, Franky was I feel referring to the fact Dimi that the Tanz Govt elections will be taking place and the Bull Dozer might have to start building new bridges somewhere else, or at least he will want to change the climate before the new elections start, which is our backstop. Agree chaps no panic here, I am not swayed by the day trader boys or shorter's wanting a quick buck when I have waited for this time for over two years. My view is the Gold price as you say is back over 1300oz and more than being used previously for calculating the accounts. The Gold reserves held will be worth even more too. Acacia could issue an annual end of year statement of increased earnings at any time if they wanted to at these prices. Sterling is up today which is the only downside I see for a dollar earning share. However will sterling continue to rise with what is going on in the Commons? I doubt it. I have written to the firm wanting a positive release I feel they owe it to the shareholders to keep us informed of developments I suggest you all do the same. Email the press office. However this Company still makes money and with the rising Gold price it will be making more.

P you are not the only one. We all wait for the rise to continue and then it falls. I am no longer greedy and everyone looks to sell on the rise. Most are cyclical as you know. I found I needed to lower my sights and not try too hard or beat myself up. I now have a gut feeling and relax and on probability am more often right than wrong -thank God. I started lowering my expectations and it worked out better for me personally.

I was wondering about Airbus what with Boeing in trouble? However we do not know the cause of the crashes? Could be the Engines (would expect them to not be RR) from memory the CFM had turbo flight flutter years ago, and could reverse in flight? I cannot believe the issue is speed sensor related. I have many other shares down which will come back later and some have been coming back fast. i.e. Marstons, Stobart, Hoc, RBS and most of the miners, Glencore to name a few. However almost all of the investors been and gone off this board will all fly back when we have the news we are waiting for.

STB as it stands the price is what it says on the tin £202.80 (plus whatever it will be when the shorters buy back what they have borrowed). The share price is always false and manipulated when shorts are about. Their interests are in advance of the market price they hope it goes down we hope it goes up. I was trading this share perhaps 7 years ago at close if not £7 a share, and perhaps 5 years ago when it was £5 odd a share. Unfortunately no-one knows what will happen but the market determines the price. Every share is a gamble best of luck for tomorrow P. Well I am sure most know that Acacia is not just on the FTSE it is also on the DSE i.e. The local stock market in Tanzania and the paper "The Citizen" has noted that the price of the share on the local stock market has been increasing as a direct result of the the increased production. This is interesting in that the local markets see this as a sign that the production levels are having a beneficial effect on earnings, which is supporting local investment. Also the fact that they have made no mention of the Barrick talks which might mean they have been barred from referring to such which is what if you remember the G.O.T insisted as abided by whilst the discussions were taking place which must mean we are in process? Or is that too deep a thought process? The absence of referral means to me something is taking place. As one would have expected them to refer to it.

The premiums for the packages will mount up but remember most of the U/wtrs specialise and will offset with Reinsurance. However from my experience most Insurers eventually get their money back when the Political climate changes and this is usually when there is a change of Govt. Something you yourself have reported could happen. I could see similar claims at the moment in Venezuela if any Oil producers have lost their licenses?

Not surprising now the whole Brexit deal is such a mess as usual. Nigel Farage is now trying to get a veto from one Euro Country which will mean they will not accept an extension and we will have to leave the EEC with no deal. It seems they voted tonight not to leave without a deal but will not accept Theresa's proposal without enough time to put another in place. As we say complete Chaos!!
