Then reinvest into MTRO (only profits gained for a free money gamble?). However you might end up with quite a large Capital gain at the end of the year such as I had last tax year, and then it was a case of what of my shares do I sell at a loss? In the end it was either the banks, which I can reinvest back into if/when they have a greater margin by higher rates, or by selling Building firms later when the rates start increasing post Brexit? .

Where'as Acacia is one of the least shorted MTRO is the biggest - be very careful if I were you. If you feel the shorts have a point look agt how many different Shorter Companies have the same opinion?

In Acacia we only have one shorting comp. registered and that is only for 0.60%, i.e. if they were 0.1% less then their share would not even be shown of short tracker as it would be below the 0.50% threshold -hence not so much influence.

The shorters are well experienced and can be used as a barometer I agree but they will not have an overdue influence here in my opinion, unless there is a run of disasters at the mines. If they felt this Company was going to fall they would be topping up right now however this is not happening. OK they have increased their share recently by wait for it, no I said wait for it, 0.01%, in other words they are at 0.60%. If they were at 0.50% or less they would not even be registered on short tracker. All the shorters (apart from MW mentioned) have either completely pulled out or are holding on short tracker at less than 0.50%. This tells me one thing we will not be pushed down to £1. In fact I would suggest in three weeks time we could be £2. Let see who's right. The uncertain future of the local political climate has also encouraged FTSE miners today!!.

All of your scenarios and I can think of a few more will all reflect positively on the Acacia share price.

It seems to me more than one party are interested in this Company and by the time any deal is reached the price will rise in my opinion tremendously and once the sentiment changes gaining momentum this share price we have today will be laughed at, as from memory we were at least £4 to £5 a share before the export ban, and I see this coming back very. very quickly when we have clear water as you say Frank.

I also anticipate as I said the other day the Fed will not raise the Usd rate, and more will see the likelihood of it even a lowering the rate, plus as the Dow has recently hit new highs it will fall and Gold will rise further.

Wow Parf, that is a hell of a lot of Gold, Silver and Copper to be held only because of the papers not showing the amounts for the negligible other metals probably not worth much to be honest.
I didn't realize the containers in question contain unsold concentrate of approximately 186,000 ounces (5,270kg) of gold, 12.1 million pounds (5,480 tonnes) of copper and 159,000 ounces (4,500kg) of silver as of January this year. Surely a good barrister can come up with a solution so all benefit. Can they write an IOU for the containers to be audited once all found and processed, in this way the exact content is discovered.

Gold will be very volatile today as the Fed announce their decision on rates later tonight. Most expect the Us rates to remain unchanged but as I said yesterday nothing surprises me. For Acacia I see a statement has been issued today regarding today voting rights and the no. of shares in circulation. The last time we quite often have an announcement such as this where the fund Managers have been raising or altering their own percentage shares, or indeed where as I reported yesterday we have stake building concerns. Volumes traded today are very low but all can see the effect this has if people sell their shares. However common sense also says what will happen when the mood changes which will happen very soon. Only 103,000 shares of a 960,000 daily average have been traded today and so this shares volatility is a day traders dream. By tonight we will probably be up 5%

Cuts in US interest rate = Higher Gold prices.

I expect this share to quickly go back to £2.00 especially if as some analysts are predicting the Fed might even consider lowering US Interest rates, as the Dollar is starting to lose its shine, and many Countries are now moving back to balance their accounts with good old Gold.
For the past couple of days someone has been buying in at the close, which suggests to me it could a US Buyer? If someone already has a large stake they will need to disclose it. The last time Blackrock moved in to increase their share we had a very positive announcement a day after. Things are hotting up chaps -hold, your shares.

I agree we are now approx 48% up on 96p but we also according to share magazine have an average price over the past 6 months of approx 180p. We have a lot of potential here. Most analysts still rate the share price to be far in excess of this level and so time is on our side.

As I say I can wait further. If the Fec cuts rates tomorrow Gold might rise, and if a deal is done with China then I see commodities rising back up too, as they all took a hit recently when the last deal collapsed.

I see no big problem here for me as my contact feels we re not actually that far away from a deal and so I will wait. I do not care how long it takes however as I know for me the wait will be worthwhile. This Company still makes money, and tracks the Gold price. If the Fed shows sign of weakness Gold will rise this week. I also know the very same people who wanted to make money overnight will be the same people who will suddenly steam back in when the tide turns.

It certainly seems very strange to me what is happening to this price. I.e. I do think someone is desperate to buy shares here and there is just not the supply in the market. So dealers are reducing / playing with prices to get people to panic sell when there is no need. However I saw earlier this morning about an hour ago that traders were willing to bvuy this share at a higher price than they would sell?
I will absolutely not be selling anything in this market. You could be right Dimi to buy if at the right price?

Chaps Last years results we had a statement that Acacia continued to engage, this year despite Barrick making progress talks had not yet produced any proposal from Barrick. However when studying the comments made by Peter Galeta for the 1st Qtr thuis year we hear a lot more information when he says ..."Meanwhile throughout the quarter we have continued to engage with and provide support to Barrick in its direct negotiations with the GoT, and continue to prefer a negotiated resolution that will benefit all stakeholders" - the provide support bit I like as this shows discussions are now taking place. I also see us soon being in a far better position on the words alone. I also see the Board appointments being made to provide a basis for future trade. I see this Company continuing in some form, even if the ownership changes in percentage terms, plus I did see an offshoot moving into other Countries such as Kenya. These positive comments far outweigh the negatives in my opinion. The fact he also refers to "stakeholders" suggests more interests that just mere shareholders? This is one interesting statement that I feel the market has missed.

Hi T, I see it that Marstons have borrowed to expand and are no longer a small family player they are more of a worldwide beer producer/exporter to be honest. More International than domestic. They also have gone into Motels/Pubs/Wine Bars, etc and so a lot of the borrowing is for property right? They have recently devalued some of their properties due to concern with Brexit, but that also lowers the tax that is due, but once we have Brexit behind us the loans will diminish in relation to the property values and sterling will rise. All I can see is Marstons now on the supermarket shelves and many foreign friends of mine hanker after a pint of Pedigree. The long term outlook is very good for the good old solid UK Company if my opinion. A good safe stable stock that fund managers love for an investment to balance their books with income and growth,

Hey Frank, Yes I remember when I gambled on Thomas Cook a few years ago (I don't own any today) everyone said I was mad buying them and that share kept me going when I could not work for two years in London.
However like you I see no such gamble with this one. It is just when do I come in and buy some more. When people argue about selling at £2.50 I just laugh. Maybe I would be upset if it had been £5. All shares appear to be struggling at the moment and that will help Gold prices further. Our little far eastern friends can't get enough of the stuff I hear. If the day traders want a quick killing they could do worse than trade this share, as they certainly do seem to give us some support. I can/will wait like you are. Everything comes to he who can wait! Or as my old Japanese client has said sometimes things can come to you are a long sleep. I doubt however that we will ever earn as much as ZAHA! £100,000 a week how do Footballers manage? Mind you one of the Lloyd's brokers in the XL hay days was earning that a day! ATB.

Analysts are projecting even the possibility of the Fed lowering rates and running with some inflation which will help Gold prices. Also the USA v China trade deal will help all commodity prices. Even speak or an announcement of some success in the trade discussions in Tanzania will help us here. As Frank has said the G.O.T. will not want to go to an International Arbitration.
Volumes are very low today on Acacia and so if people did not sell this share will rise. The volatility must be a day traders delight! .

Quite amazing how brokers will only offer £131 for you to sell but want £1.75 for you to buy. This indicates to me they rate the share above this level in that whilst they are happy to buy your shares at a very low price differential they do not want to sell their own unless it is for a far higher price.

I'm not selling mine and if only others would not either the price will soon come back.
