read (after I sold the last of my Rio stock this morning for a profit) that they have taken an annual loss of $3billion. Not exactly pennies and dimes, is it. Peeps are still buying as the sp still drops... You'd think they'd leave it for a while! Difficult to know what a good recovery-buying platform would be when/after this news hits other 'vital organs' - 3000p ish?

I've made a lot on "doomed" stock at a cheap price over the years. I bought this one early today @278p. It's dipped just a little. After late news of (maybe) "tripple dip", I've decided to put a stop loss on this stock @ 270p - still giving it a chance to, if not gain, stabalize... If Osbourne should heed some of the top business people, and stop trying to imitate "Nero fiddling whilst Rome burns"... then peeps could find a little bit more in their pocket to spend... and maybe take up DIY again!

at present, probably doesn't know much more about CWC's future expections than you investors (I still haven't made up my mind whether to buy in or not). But obviously he has a "dream" and with a big dob of cash dropping into the kitty soon, that will reinforce his optimism. Bringing down CWC's substantial debt is an almost proactive move. Proactive strategy worked for Rio Tinto last week - inspite of some of the "crap" already factored in. I'm keeping this one on my watch list. Tried to download the Fundamentals on LS but they wern't avalible. Managed to source them elsewhere...

I'm just... slightly under the current sp - were as before, I was well above it! So didn't quite hit the "proper" entry point - it's not easy with Rio sometimes.

The iron ore ships still grounded because of that bit of rough trade wind heading their way? With the iron ore price top heavy, this is not good? Yea you said that would happen. I sold mine today, too, equally fed up with the volatility. Made a £1400 profit. So they went up, and i lost £150 - so what - could have lost A LOT more. I'm happy. HO HO HO. Let's wait for a retrace. And remember - Rio is the biggest producer of uranium... and which countries want to build Power Stations, besides us? Ho Ho and Ho... HNY.
