Rio Tinto is to increase iron ore output over the next 18 months as it counts on demand from China steel mills holding up. (China is looking for ways to increase its growth; last quarter was better than expected). Also, Rio Tinto is on target to reduce its costs on exploration and evaluation this year by $750m, with outlays in the first half down by $483m. Rio is one of the most efficent iron ore producers in the world. At prices of $120 a tonne, it enjoys a margin of about $70 per tonne.Definitely a long term investment. Down side: don't expect the dividend to increase in the short/mid term. Sunset.

As you have been bored of late, I thought i'd contact you and give you a puzzle to solve. Would appreciate your "insight" into a certain company: Eldorado Gold (ELD). My history - made a nice profit from the company they took over, and stayed in for the "voyage". The reason... they seemed a good company who got the yellow stuff out of the ground cheaper than anyone else, and were a pretty tight firm with money. They've had a bit of a tousle of late with a mine or two in Greece. A boat they ship ore out in, got damaged... But my gripe is... this stock has gone down hill eversince I bought into it. I'm locked in by about 6k now. And I'm trying not to blame myself! Lol.

You seem to be a knowledgable chap. There is a lot of 'ordinary deletions' at end of day trading here- in both buy and sell status... What does it exactly mean. Does it mean cancellations of shares bought and sold because of a concession deal or something (if that is the case, who do I see about becoming a member!)
