At 10.10 this morning HL flagged a bdev sell at...669. After some mins it went back to its former price. This weird thing happened to me a couple of years ago when the sp leaped 20% then went back to its real sp. I didn't sell but waited till that price actually materialized a few months later, and made a killing. Sp fell afterwards. Was my crystal ball trying to tell me something again today? Jeez.

Ignore HSBC 's new target - they could be leaving the country soon and so resort to spitefulness. Lol

Went for it and bought in - mostly on the rise - at /between 573 - 591. Sold - just can't leave money on the table! - at 596. which will more than pay for nice little weekend away at fancy hotel! Oh, yeah, and the divi came in today. So maybe a good bottle of champagne. YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU.

I never sell at a loss, except for tax benefits. Take on board what Chris211 advised. Good solid advise for newbies and not-so-newbie! To reiterate some: don't take any notice of 'pump-and-dumpers' - people who profess to own crystal balls or any other sort of balls. Pick your shares carefully and invest across the board. Don't blame politicians for your share loses - that only gets you twisted and bitter and stops you thinking straight. And you need to have a clear head when dealing or investing. Sometimes you can be contrary and buy when the price is rising; but on the whole you should buy when the price is going down - and look for a 'floor' - but sometimes it proves to be a false one. Most of all: go by your gut feeling - 'cause all the stuff you digest from reading matter, social medium, etc., lands up there and is churned about... My gut message is... One burb for buy; two for sell; three for buy some more; and four for hold. But remember - this might not work for every one! GL with your 'investing'.

Hi, Chris. This is not a place for discussing politics! Lol. And I'm good, as I hope you are. Oh, dear, I remember the days when you were Long term and sticking for the Long Haul. What have I done? Anyway, you seem happy with the profit you took today and the profit you're sitting on with BKG. The best of both worlds! But... a caveat: be careful of the floor - it is not always the floor it purports to be! GL. (There will be a big drop but not for a while, and then there will be a solid floor.)
