Kitsz. Everyone invests in stocks for different or the same reasons. I won't state what they are - you know what they are, or should by now. Even your hero Warren Buffet has taken a big hit recently, even after factoring in 'everything'. Mind you, the thing you can't factor in properly, is the Brexit Enigma (have I just coined something?). That is why I say, at the end of the day, this is a gamble. There are winners and there are losers. An investment? Companies can cut or pull a Divi. Sps can go up and/or down on a whim. You can think you are astute in the move you make, only for things to come crashing down on your head, spilling the milk. Can remember the sudden, unexplained walk out of a CEO (can't remember the company) and the share price dropping dramatically over night. Later found out the guy had had an offer he couldn't refuse from a rival company - one he had previously been shortlisted for. Little thing like that can spook newbies and make them sell at a big (relative) loss. Remember, it's only a paper loss until you hit that button. An investment in that sense. So HOLD.

Kitsz, for someone who doesn't 'rate' me, you certainly write a long letter. You know where I stand with you and you know I can read between your lines. And incidentally, I do enjoy your little didactic ruses and taking things out of context. You say a lot but really at the end of the day you don't say much, do you. Top builders' p/e ratios are good, debts low and manageable, div pay outs good, and future dividend pay outs also look promising. You playing good cop/bad cop here to try and lower the buy-in floor price, is pathetic. You may scare a few newbies - but that's about the extent of your influence on this board.

Just want to pick up on a little salient point: EU labor, contrary to media reports, are not leaving the UK building sector in their droves. Had it from the 'horses mouth' at the weekend, on the golf course, that... Redrow has a strong EU workforce in place, plus a thriving apprenticeship scheme. And I would surmise the same could be said of Barratt - unless someone can tell me otherwise. So, no need to panic there, I think! Have to go now,chaps, need to catch up on some sleep!

And why the market recovered today was due to IMF chief Christine Lagarde stepping in to 'defend the Fed rate hikes amid markets turmoil'. And subsequently common sense prevailed amid the panic and the 'lemming mentality'. This is one to hold and buy in to. So under valued...
