KD, take MarkBell's advise and start robbing all the piggy banks you can find, delve down the backs of sofas, turn over mattresses, sell your body - ANYTHING - to top up your basket with these shares and stop bleeding moaning, fella. I've been buying these shares since 2007 and don't intend stopping any time soon. The dividends alone are worth it... Plus this is a great company - just browse over their score sheet. But sit down first... for you'll be impressed.

Your post has a bit of the treble-edged sword about it, Paul, saying you admire Barratts while seeming to criticise them building on a beautiful site in your little home town, which has no doubt decimated wild flowers, fauna and what-not. And then sounding chuffed about the 'opposition' throwing in the towel and rushing to buy Barrett properties. In spite of the breezy sound of your post, me think there has been a bit of the 'dark stuff' going on in your little town, which needs looking into, I think... You still have not answered my question - everyone is waiting on you. 'Tarring with the same the brush'? What you're trying to do, I think - intentionally or unintentionally - is to try and undermine bdev's strength as a company. You are just out to get as much value for your cash as you can, which in normal circumstances is fine. No truck with that. But, you, Kitz, do it in a disingenuous way, I think That's what bugs me.

That's why, like Mark, I was taken aback by your 'negative presentation'. Unlike Mark, I'm not convinced that it was wholly 'unintentional' on your part. I've been studying your former posts and see a negative trend toward this stock - then when this is highlighted by Mark or Nige (I exclude myself, of course) you unashamedly back track. A rather ambiguous post from kitsz, who is sitting on cash and is not invested here. And I don't know why he mentioned Persimmon on this board, unless he is trying to tar Barratt with the same brush. A rather disconcerting post.

Kitsz - now, come clean - are you dividend-what's-his-name in disguise?

Don't know how many times I've told this little heart-warming story on here over the years... Bought first bdev shares just before the credit crunch for a quid a share. After the crunch they fell to 50p. It took 18 months for them to rise again - to 180p a share. And there were no dividends then. Moral of the story? What goes down, come up, with BDEV.

What's the matter with some of you (crying) guys. Like big girl's blouses. Personally, I don't think some of you should be dealing in stocks and shares - for you don't seem to know that much about them. BDEV is one of the strongest companies and best div payers in the footsie. Just read some of Nige's posts over the last couple of weeks - and write down his salient points in case you forget them - hopefully it might save you crying again on here in the future, and irritating me big time. End of f**king sermon.

PS. I, too, like Nige, am heavily invested here and I am not even thinking about selling. I would so like to tell you... how much of my investment here is profit that I've made from bdev over the past 12 years... but I am too modest. BUY/HOLD
