Just listened to a horror story from Persimmon owner. An electric socket was burning up inside, and not too far away... was a gas pipe riddled with puncture holes. Unbelievable. And his shower was not plumbed right - just a few of the 'faults' in his new home where he lived with his wife and baby. And he couldn't turn his heating system off - when he rang Customer Service to moan about his heavy bills, they told him... it was just one of those things. He spend over 2 years ringing Customer Service, but kept being fobbed off. His verdict is... he'd never buy another Persimmon house. Can you blame him? Afraid Persimmon has become synonymous with (CBACS) Crap Building and atrocious Customer Service.

Been a nice couple of days for buying and topping up. Think Boris and CO's message is getting through to Brussels. They know now that they are dealing with the Real Thing. And subsequently the best china will appear on the table Corbyn's commie party is tearing itself apart. And the strong dollar against the weak pound will of course help ftse share prices.

Perhaps Mr Thomas just wanted to update his luxury cruising yacht, so needed some ready cash. He still has plenty of shares left in his kitty, a lot more than he sold. So looks like my theory of him being poached and leaving was wrong! (Or maybe he's leaving the missus...! lol)

Calm down. The company is solvent. More potential than any other building company. But... can remember a similar thing happen to another company many years ago, have forgotten the details. The director was poached by another ftse company and made an offer he couldn't refuse. When he suddenly sold his shares, there was panic and selling off. Then, I think it was in Money Week, that all was revealed. |I did then what I've just done... bought more shares @5.449.87

BJ has peered into his crystal ball and seen GB has the most prosperous county in Europe. Brussels is worried by BJ's rhetoric and other EU countries wanting to follow suit. So they do the usual: Shout No-no with a theatrical iron fist. Now they are putting all their money on a snap election and Corbyn getting it and GB remaining in Europe. If JC did get elected, what's to stop him changing his tune again? Which would certainly mean... three or four more years in the Brexit wilderness... not to mention our economy collapsing and the country returning to a three day week?

Mark, I would say this is rising more on the back of Boris's charisma - not on what comes out of his mouth... For after all, he is well known for spouting porkies! Anyway, let's make a bit of money on the side whilst the firework display lasts! Thank God Hunt didn't get it - a fox hunter and a remainder: Teresa May in trousers! It's rising mainly because of property sales showing up as increased profit on presented books year on year, and generous dividends - also cheeky little side punts help towards its frequent up and down movement. Interest rate cuts rarely dictate - but a weakened pound certainly makes an impression! Finding a solid floor is not always easy here; in fact, can be tricky at times! So, for the non gambler I suggest you play this long term. Have I told you the story... when I bought these for a quid each...?

Harlow is recent and very on-going. The damage to Persimmon has been done - a damage of huge portion that will take years to fix. I expect PSN is slowing down new builds because it doesn't want to see lots of its property standing empty for long periods and drawing adverse attention... Nobody likes to see cobwebs! I could go on and on but I would only be reiterating what is in my other posts.
