Great update from the BOD today!
We’re all keen to see what it does to the SP of course, but worth bearing in mind that it doesn’t really matter. After that, who isn’t here to the end?!
For the benefit of any complete newbies - "highly unlikely" is generous. "The latter is utterly insane" would be more accurate.
(Apologies for the outrageous deramping there)
eextremera - Honest answer is that I think that kind of update would be unnecessary.
They've already said: "Shareholders should recognise that the process Eurasia is in now implies that the Company is very limited in what it can discuss in the public domain. Nevertheless, we look forward to updating our many long-term supporters and new members." (In the interim report)
...which covers the first half of your example.
And there's no need to say "the FSP is still ongoing", as they'd have to tell us if it wasn't.
And they got close to doing that with the "we're committed to our strategy, while adding value to our current activities" comment (or words to that effect - not a direct quote)
No reason why it couldn't be much sooner than the end of January.
And regarding updates, what would the update say?
Serious question. Several people have said "Sure, NDAs... but they could give us a bit of an FSP update!", but none of them ever say what they think such an update could include. Can you give an example?
Hi all. Just wondering if anyone anticipates an announcement prior to the AGM (or even a leak?) or is the consensus that we definitely won't hear anything definite until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest?
Not the most serious point but having looked more closely, the 11am ones were PMEs. All the juicy news was 9 something. So a good thought for, um, right now. :)
All RNSs issued last December were issued between 9.19am and 11.05am.
Irrelevant? Almost certainly! But still a nice thought for the next couple of hours...
Tuesday 29th.
Come on guys, we've not been this inaccurate since 31st November.
Monday 28th replaces Boxing Day as a bank holiday

:)
Google did actually briefly say 37.25, but now safely back at 39. Phew. Lovely, lovely 39p. Those few seconds were harrowing.
That's the danger of watching every move on Google all day long. :)
37.25! **** the sale must be off? Has the palladium gone missing? What's gone wrong?!?!
I miss the dizzy heights of 39!
A serious message for those getting giddy about the price going from 38p to 39p, please zoom out to the 6 month chart to get a sense of scale and perspective, take several slow deep breaths, and calm yourselves...
If not, you'll be in serious danger when the big RNS lands..!
When it's from just under 38p... No, 39p is not considered a big rise.
Which share are you looking at?
Another small thing that shows how they're chasing clicks rather than trying to write quality articles... have you ever noticed how they keyword stuff the phrase "xxxx share price". Sometimes it ends up with really weird sentences like "Would I buy the Eurasia mining share price? Yes, I recommend buying the EUA share price" rather than "buy Eurasia Mining".
Basically, they don't care about quality, they're only after clicks, and their SEO is stuck about ten years behind the times...
Probably depends on your view of the DFS.
If you think the plan is to finalise the DFS, then release news of a sale, there's no chance of a sale RNS today. (Assuming we don't get the DFS today, which given they only said "by the end of the month" yesterday, I presume we won't.)
Or, do you think the DFS RNS yesterday and the finalisation are just EUA continuing as business-as-usual, as they would if there wasn't an FSP happening. If so, the two are less tied together and a sale RNS could land any time.
Option 1, sale RNS today? No chance.
Option 2, sale RNS today? Slim chance, but possible. :)
Other views welcome, of course!
Any thoughts on when the DFS final approval will land? We know that it’s “expected this month” so presumably not long!
And on that note, could they not have waited for final approval rather than releasing this RNS today?
Curious whether the answer to that is no, even non-final approval is market sensitive so needed to be released today. Or yes... so what was the motivation for releasing today’s RNS and (hopefully) final approval within a few weeks?
Thanks all.
How do you beg to differ? That text says:
A 2.9 needs to be issued when an “offer period” begins.
EUA issued a 2.9 within their 1st July DSP RNS. That was when our offer period began.
A 2.9 must also be issued when the info within changes, such as the shares in issue.
EUA’s shares in issue have changed because of the placing.
It’s unclear why yesterday’s 2.9 was released in December rather than straight after the placing.
The text about an offered doing the same:
(A) Applies at the start of an “offer period”. That is different to “when they make an offer”
(B) Refers to when they have been identified. Not offerer for EUA has been identified.
All reference to 7.15am refers to when the 2.9 itself must be released. Not to anything that must be released after the 2.9.
I know I sound like a broken record clarifying these points, but they are important.
That’s not what the 2.9 says.
The 2.9 itself needs to be issued within 24 hours of the start of an offer period or when info such as shares in issue changes. There’s no requirement for an offer within 24 hours of a 2.9.
Though I might leave this kind of correction to other people today, as I did a long shift yesterday!
Bit of a random question but I’ve wondered... what caused the last massive spike in EUA in the year 2000?
Sure there were fewer shares in issue then and it’s all irrelevant to now but just curious!
