correct - BGBL's fortune is being crafted by a government mandate so i wouldn't worry too much. just a matter of waiting. this is a long term share. i was wondering what if the tories win next year but they too support smartmeter installation for the UK.

good to know i'm not alone. =) delta-t just happens to be going through a downturn now but that is when u can invest at the bottom and sell at the top. if u look at petrol prices these days, it's already back to £1+ per litre. it won't be long before biofuels are in demand again although this is not currently a big part of the business. their main customer is still french gas for which follow-on contracts are expected. oil price is controlled by a cartel and obama is fully supportive of seeking energy independence through renewable energy sources. BNLN is highly diversified to meet these advanced demands of plant construction. the order backlog should see them through 2009. i'll try to post more information about finance here, soon. but at the moment, it doesn't look like much of an issue.

for those that rely on barchart, here is what it says today :- http://quote.barchart.com/texpert.asp?sym=UNIQ.LS resistance at 18p? bah! what a crock of sh*t. barchart is reactive, never proactive. in times of volatility like now, always rely on fundamentals more than technicals, especially so with penny shares.

rainmaker on advfn calculated the tangible value of Marie and it was approximately £60m, if i am not mistaken. UNIQ may downplay the sale price but it doesn't sound sensible if they sell Marie for less than that amount. they may as well close the company down and sell of its asssets. so if intangibles&goodwill + revenue margin/forecast are included, it sounds about right if it was sold for an amount higher than £60m, touted by les echos as £77m. i reckon we could be surprised in the very last minute as one of the 4 bidders could put in a higher than expected figure, just as we have seen with some other companies previously. that's why the 4 interested bidders is the most important part of the report(to me). to be honest, i wouldn't even be surprised if UNIQ decides not to sell because Marie is still profiting as of last interims.

according to the article, a decision is expected to be reached in 3 weeks' time. we were initially afraid UNIQ wouldn't be able to complete the deal by the summer(france is dead in the summer) but that article has arrested that fear. higher than expected sale price + 4 other serious bidders is very, very good news, imo. UNIQ investors should hold for long term because the share is very undervalued. are we all happy people today? =) patience pays.

thank you very much for the good news from france. this is the first confirmation that UNIQ have found a buyer...but it is the fact that there are 4 other serious contenders that is REALLY stimulating. sunny days ahead for UNIQ holders - congrats to all who held.

remember i told u to take a look at UNIQ? hope you bought in because the good news is about to materialise. if u want to take a punt, u may want to buy some UNIQ shares early tomorrow morning because a french newspaper www.lesechos.fr just reported that marie, the french arm of UNIQ, could be sold for as much as £77m to Delpeyrat-Findus when market concensus was just £20m. there is also another 4 interested parties so it could go for higher. with 114,833,817 shares in issue, the value pf cash per share alone is 67p but the company is currently only valued at 20p per share. hope you have done your research - good luck.

EGM to be conducted on 23rd june(tomorrow) with one resolution to pass - to admit the Earl of Balfour(Lord Balfour of Rothchilds Investment) as the the chairman of the company as per previous RNS released. it could bring about City backing again. this is a speculative share but it sounds like the start of a turnaround for Bateman Litwin which has had a rather unfortunate turn of events lately with wrong investment decisions made by previous management(the whole board of directors has been swept clean). it could develop into a good long term share, with some risks attached. worth a punt but don't bet your house on it...yet. would welcome any research on BNLN done by any of you, and any opinions good or bad.

between then and now, e2V announced that the outlook is not good and losses for the prelims. dividend has also been suspended to conserve cash.

not an employee but an investor. the reason for past losses is being addressed in future strategy, hence the interest in this share. does anybody know if UNIQ has a final salary pensions scheme?

what chaz says is correct - the institutional buy could inidcate there may be some good news here soon(or at least expected). the recent rise could also be due to both reasons - ramper + institutional buy. maddogmcree, not sure if you know this but the RNS release date is normally 2 or 3 days late after the actual execution. this means the buy may have occured sometime around 10th to 12th june and the RNS released 15th june. take a look at UNIQ(food industry). some good news is expected ANYTIME NOW so i suggest doing your research a.s.a.p. or at least read the last 20 to 30 pages on the UNIQ board. at the moment, it looks likely that UNIQ will respond in the manner the market would like to see UNIQ move towards. an asset sale is expected, last targeted by UNIQ to be completed by june but the company could always delay it till after summer. there is only one week left in june!

it's what happens when people listen to rumours mate. if u were one of those who bought at the top, it's not a nice feeling to be sitting on a loss - learnt my lesson the hard way. so i only listen to facts and always check the news before 8am everyday, constantly check for RNS announcements of your holdings...a lot of dedication. i don't have the time so i'm slowly lowering my stocks to a handful that i like and trust, have a base holding for the long term, then just ride the ups and downs on the short term.

hey mate, good to know somebody else is here. QED has hit 60p 2 or 3 times now and all those times i was tempted to sell but i just haven't done it. i hope commercial property prices doesn't fall any further...

apparently the recent rally has been blamed on a ramper at iii. not sure if u want to sell out or hold on but for the moment, i have decided to sell out on TXR(loss of transaction fees only) till the price of titanium rises a bit again. i need the cash to dump more in UNIQ for which some good news is expected. good luck to you guys, will check on here once in a while to see how u doing. TXR for the moment, remains on my watch list.
