did anyone manage to buy in or top up below 24p this morning?

for me, i'm in here more for the core business - emerging metals. i believe solar power is a growth potential for the future for countries that have been too late to harness renewable energy through other means. uranium prospect is just a small matter to me, an "add-on". but i think that's been what EML has been known/sold for when i feel it is actually is just an add-on prospect that is creating a lot of excitement.

they definitely do but you have to take a long term perspective. it will bounce up and down before Q4 2009 or Q1 2010 but when the recovery takes place, more likely for a sustainable rise. in the mean time, just enjoy the ups and downs and reap whatever you can but leave a base holding. just a suggestion.

had too small a holding here and was waiting for a drop. just topped up and will leave this aside now.

hey mate, sorry but i know nuts about the pharmaceutical/medical industry. that's why i haven't touched any stocks in that sector. you may want to find someone who can provide a better perspective?

looks like something's happening here today. the MM is now offering 53p a share...with no new news? it could be another round of director buying. previously, when the MM wanted to collect shares for a large-ish director buy recently, the SP shot up briefly by 10p, just for a few minutes. quite a dangerous thing for the MM to do but he's have no option if nobody sells. =)

MMs obviously want our shares but remember, this is a company with monopoly, a parliament mandate to guarantee sales and an orderbook that should grow all the way till 2020(for the foreseeable future)!

IQE will bring the next generation of mobile networks called LTE, in 2 or 3 years, to europe. almost 10 times the speed of current HSPA networks! soon u could be watching wimbledon on a pocket HDTV by the river. =)

happy to know that as i knew u had a lot in there. i sold half by holdings because they frustrated me but lost a little on the second batch after they announced a rights issue. oilbarron, whaddayamean? we never had mobile broadband before! =) if u are interested in that industry, have a look at IQE. got my base holding there at 7p but i wanna top up, hoping the ask price will drop to 9p or below between now and sept. they said back in march(i think) that underlying profit for H2 2009 will be 7 fold so it would be a good time to get in if the opportunity appears.

oooh...i don't like making predictions! =) but this funding clears the dark clouds over BGBL the past few months. btw, did u escape the wrath of MEC or are u still waiting patiently?

i suppose u meant to post that as a "wider impact" on the industry rather than waitrose being a client of UNIQ?

long term, BGBL is a winner. just remember smartmeter is a parliament mandate and BGBL is practically the only practising provider that provides an end-to-end solution from energy provider to consumer. good luck

this could also be the reason for the big buy :- http://in.reuters.com/article/businessNews/idINIndia-40753220090702 but ideally, hopefully it's because that buyer knows morgan stanley has moved on? the MM could anytime release a load of shares into the market on a good buying day. no way of us private investors knowing. because of that, i have been in and out here...currently out. if UCP rallies all the way to the 20s, then i would have missed out, but it's ok with me.

we cannot do a direct conversion because assets would be split equally between shareholders of both exchanges, that is "theoretically assuming". even then, UCP is still undervalued after impairment provisions, etc. the only issue at the moment is morgan stanley. the percentage of shares for private investors is still very small as the new shares was for institutional investors only.

zelda, thanks also to rainmaker of advfn with whom i'm sure many of us have benefited from his extensive research. and to dinky for his substantiated views. =) freewill, i think the question should rather be how low will it go... i'm rather sure we won't see sub-20p again unless there is unexpected news. if we do, i'm tempted to sell my car and buy more UNIQ shares. but from where we stand today, the future of UNIQ is much clearer than what it was a few months ago. i'm also sure there are plenty of traders who sold at the top watching UNIQ closely to buy in again.
