The movement I'm getting on many of the shares I'm interested in has been quite low of late, with that in mind I've been watching OCDO. The beta on it is amazing. Many of you say you can't predict highs/lows etc. I see that as timing entries. I'm also reliably informed that's a mug's game. If you could time your entries and exits, OCDO would seem a good vehicle to be doing it on to me. I've moved it from passive watch to a more active watch with the view to trading it as soon as I an identify a possible in and out. I'm looking to trade it rather than invest in it for the moment. At 653, it looks worth watching more closely for a upswing, although BoE announce their rate change this week I believe and the FTSE is on the back foot.

Previous post on TA is copied below. We are now very close to that 21.4 level. The downside has a good chance of exceeding 21.4. A turn to the upside or at least a halt to the downside might occur between 21.2 and 20.95. If not, I'd be surprised personally to see the drop exceed 20.4. That doesn't mean it won't happen. I'm watching more closely with view to increasing my trading positions to their previous levels.
No-one (not even Romaron or KO) can see into the future, anyone who says that they can is a charlaton. I'm just trying to asssess more and less likely possibilities based upon current and past behaviours of buyers and sellers.

I closed that one out yesterday for a moderate profit, but today the price action makes it increasingly likely that the SP might get to 21.4/21.5. I've sold 30% of my trading position to book the profit in case that happens. Wouldn't be much point calling it a trading position if I didn't trade it according to my view of what's likely. I've not sold any shares.

Well below is the copy of my last post. It seems to me that there is selling pressure again that favours the SP hitting 34.75. Going against the price hitting that is a TL support from March 16th 2020/Dec 12th 2022/Jan 9th 2022 (weekly chart) with next touch being around 35.5. That implies a close on friday below 35.5 represents a break of that support and increases the risk of further downside. It might also hold as support and if the price doesn't close the week out below 35.5 it might represent a point to either buy (speculating on the short term low holding) or watch closely for evidence of a move back to the upside. The dily chart gives roughly the same detail. I still believe that the price will drop to or exceed 34.75 (2h chart). It might not stay there for long and if it happens it doesn't necessarily conflict with the detail given by the weekly/daily chart). So for me 34.75 and below is a speculative buy and has a reasonable chance of marking the area at which the SP will turn to the upside. No-one can see into the future, anyone who tells you they can is a charlaton.

I'm well stocked up should we see a rise. However, I'll not add any until the price touches 30.75 or lower (if indeed it does). That's purely for technical reasons. I've noticed that where there's a technical reason for a potential SP movement to occur, recently it has occurred, very much more frequently than not.

Peel Hunt: Foxtons investment will strengthen its position

Estate agent Foxtons (FOXT) isn’t immune from the economic downturn, but investment will likely put it on a surer footing, says Peel Hunt.

Analyst Sam Cullen retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 55p on the stock, which slipped 1.1% to 37.6p after a full-year trading statement yesterday. After a difficult 2022 the shares have soared over 29% in the past month.

Annual revenues for 2022 came in 5% ahead of Cullen’s expectations but there are still challenges ahead for 2023.

‘While lettings will remain strong, the turmoil in the mortgage market means sales revenues will be lower… and profit in full-year 2023, meaning consensus profits forecast will likely fall,’ he said.

However, he said longer-term, the ‘investment in the business will likely increase, creating a sounder footing from which to operate’.

This increased investment will be pinpointed by new boss Guy Gittins through an operational review that is ‘focused on driving growth and rebuilding ‘the Foxtons’ DNA’’.

I'd rather be wrong, but I suspect that the SP will drop too or below 31 p here before we make any further gains.

Below from last Thursday. I still see 21.4 area as likely in the near term. I also still see 25.25 adn then 29.3. For me the question is which comes first. For me, the most likely scenario is that we take out the 21.4/21.5 area before moving to the upside.

As with many (most?) things in life, speculation on the future is a very risky thing. I guess we'll have to wait to see how things play out (unravel if you're of a negative bent).
