Hexam are you about this "So I wouldn't be 'missing out' by not taking up the rights ". You must have had existing shaes to qualify for the rights, the SP of your existing holding has dropped due to the dilution effect, if you don't take up your rights, then you do lose out. If you do take them up (I get the complication about having the funds to do so) then, in the absence of excessive drops due to fear/confusion etc in the market, you recapture the loss on your initial holding. Then, in a perfect world the SP stabilises at the TERP whatever that is and you can sell the excess at b/e and retain your initial holding that is now at a better entry price? Unless I've missed something. The drop beyond the TERP looks to me like a bag full of money dropped on the floor. I could be wrong about it, but I have bought shares around the 600 to 620 mark and also opened leveraged long positions. There could be further drops, but you'd imagine that if the SP is significantly below the TERP then funds, institutions and PI's will be buying and the price will quickly come back up to the TERP. Also worth consdering that the SP actually went up to 16 pounds in the days after the consolidation, suggesting some appetite from buyers. The SP may in fact climb above the TERP as TUI's financial position has been improved due to the RI. You'd imagine that buying after the consolidation will continue as the SP settels down during the RI
