I'll take a look, but starting to feel over-exposed at the moment. It's not very liquid, but BWNG looks good also. I don't think I can involve myself in new markets though for the moment. Might do some strict day trades in FRES/CCL soon though. CAn't afford to stretch much further as that's when a market surprise hurts most.

Thanks Golitha. I find it very difficult to retain all the detail for any period of time. I do remember now that German trading startet on the 19th. There's no way that these larger players didn't make a profit, as you say they know what they're doing. What I find interesting is that they often have an entirely different mind-set to the PI's. Whereas the PI's (me included) are hoping for a substantial rise, they wnat to clear out any excess even a small profit. I guess they're discipline and rules are tighter than most of ours.

I thought it was friday today and opened a bottle of wine to relax into the weekend. I'm reliably informed by the stumpy misses that it's actually thursday and I've gone early. Sill, on the bright side, I'd say other markets are suggesting that we'll see a very good day tomorrow (which apparently actually is friday).
Also, Golitha, it seems you've partly answered my query by explaining that some ii's could sell on the 19th. I will never have the wits of people like you guys, but the beautiful thing about life is that I'll still make money!

How does that work though Golitha. How do they make a profit buy buying rights at 30p, taking them up at 4.88 (now 5.18). They couldn't sell the shares on the 19th, they had to wait until the 24th. I get a bit vague on stuff like this, Hexam usually has a razor sharp take on it, but can you be sure that they made a profit. It makes absolute sense that they'd drop their excess holding at a profit if they could, but really that's not much of a profit if their cost is minimum 5.18 and they sold after the 24th?

Common sense Savage, take the time to just think about it. It's really simple common sense, logic. Small pot, small trades, book profits, avoid losses. Over time you'll have a much bigger pot etc. For most of us, there are no real limits in the markets.

Savage, treat your pot with respect, treat every trade as a step in a process and don't try to get rich quick. So unless you're very experienced avoid AIM and hot stories. Go for boring FTSE companies (like TUI) and be patient. When an opportunity arises, take it (but not too much of it) and get shot once you've enough profit. Just grow you're pot, really doesn't matter which stocks/derivatives etc you use, just limit your losses and don't over cook your profits.

Golitha, me too. Having said that, I'm not going to spend a lot of time worrying about it.

But what I am going to do, is buy another 5000 TUi shares now (I'll make it 5001 so it's obvious, because I view what's happening as a completely orderly completion/resolution of the RI.

C26, we had the discussion yesteday regarding the site that you cited in your link. We didn't fully understand that data. Could you explain it to us, in that way we'd get a better grip on your view that the losses stated on Mike's link are not actually realistic? I am genuinely interested in understanding the site you're quoting, but don't understand their data.

C26, that's very provocotive. I do know what it means. I believe that would come through in my discussion on this board? What did you hope to achieve from that 'challenge'?

C26.., you're not sharing, you're not discussing, you seem to be attempting to impose your view without backing it up. It doesn't obviously form part of a positive discussion. This has beena great discussion board at times and negative views should be welcomed, but despite not being a fan of Anne Widdicombe I have to say it feels as if there's 'something of the night' about you?

Mike, I think that's important. I have no idea whether C26 is genuine or not (the longer this nonsense carries on the more I favour 'not'), but I think maybe don't be provoked into doing the research for him. If he had an interest in it, he'd do it for himself.

C26, you're not doing yourself any favours. It's actually stated in black and white on the short websites. You are starting to sound a bit weird. Check out the dates the shorts were opened, relate it to RI's and consolidation and you'll have you're answer. I haven't done this as I'm more interested in what is happening with the price now and the near future. I'd imagine, you've not done it either because it doesn't suit your rhetoric and because it's easy to fool the masses into believing that 'since the SP has fallen, shorters must be in profit', but you must know that that narrative is not necessarily even close to true?

Good stuff, makes sense. At some point, SP will start it's march up and those holding will be rewarded, whether that's profit or erosion of losses. In my view in the absence of a global event interfering once more with the leisure industry or something very 'off-vision' from TUI, the SP will do move back towards the TERP and by the end of June we'll be sat at 760 or higher. I use TA to enter/exit but with an eye to fundamentals and market opportunity and will add one more time if I get a buy signal. That actually looks close (but anticpating the signal before it arrives is one of my biggest failures and over time has not paid off). So be careful out there, do it the way you understand it. I didn't see an answer from C26 as to whether he was short or not, but I currently I'm assuming he's not exposed at all, but waiting for an ideal entry. Good luck with that. When it works it's dream like, so I really mean it.

I see the normal process is taking it's course, shares being bought and sold around the RI closure. SP upping and downing like a gem. Each down turning less confident holders or overstretched holders into 'soilers' and down the price goes. The churn of RI shares is very likely to continue at any price over the RI, if it dips below that, it's a sign that people are getting nervous. All about resolution of the RI and human nature for a while now. C26's thoughts might be more important in the longer term, but for now it looks simply likea process that has to be completed to me.

I hope it doesn't take too long. I'm finding that I'm waiting for a few trades to come good and they're drifting, often a little offside and my exposure is increasing. I'd prefer to resolve a few!

You never really know where a SP is going to go for sure, but the current level 722 or so, does correspond to a support/resistance that has had some relevance since March. That's short term and unlikely to be of important for now. Looking at the daily chart, it looks more likely that the price will move down to between 700 and 703. Below that there is a rising tl support (Feb 11th, Jul 21st and if we hit it again it would be a 3rd touch and a speculative entry. That would be around 685 currently. I'll watch closely for evidence of a turn as it looks pretty good value to me at the current time.

I've had a long position doing nothing here for a period. But it looks as though buyers are trying to push it to the upside. I've added (still very small) in the hope of getting a profit on the day. I could easily imagine 529-535 by end of play today or early next week. Does seem to be some buying interest.

If there is no fund raise on the horizon, then the current price looks like a good entry price even for a speculative trade. Will be watching closely over the next few days to see if I get a sensible entry.

supercharger, wouldn't raised rates increase the chance of a recession and reduce demand for silver? Looks like going ex-divi has cleared up what I viewed as a TA related downside risk (gap!). I might be tempted to try a long position pretty soon. I've had a fair bit of success trading this over the last year.
