Current demand looks great. Probably wise to look at credit card lending/defaults on lending. Banks are tightening their lending criteria and there is some suggestion that people are borrowing more on credit cards (while credit card debt defaults are also rising). This my take from general reading (so not fact I can back up with a specific reference). I've seen it suggested that the increase in credit card borrowing is a 'last hurrah' before we move into recession, which I'd imagine would impact discretionary spending. Fingers crossed the TUI SP rises nicely from here, but it's always best to try to look at things from more than one angle.

I see it daily, the kids just finishing the juice type drink and throwing it in the hedge, the weird folk picking up their dog's mess, putting in a bag and throwing in the brambles to hang their like some sort of Shrike's trophy line. It makes me mad, I have to live with that and much much more every single day and I'm thinking that I might be autistic. It's having too big an effect on me to be fair. I want to punch the gypsies (that's largely not a good idea), I want to get my eldest son to look a bit deeper etc.

They're not seeing that OneDb. My one of my own sons hasn't the faintest. He buys the party (not political party but 'current trendy' line) on many things. I sometimes gently ask his view and am shocked to hear the answer. I not a debater, I don't think fast enough at least not in the sphere of politics etc so I just listen and keep my view to myself (what is it they say about mixing family and politics). I see him as a guage of how todays younger generation are understanding things (not beyond the most facile of levels). His thinking is utterly at odds with my own and he's clearly passionate about the things he knows nothing about but fit with the general consensus around him. Our younger generations have thoroughly bought into the green rhetoric. Myself I see some sense in many of the arguments and do believe we should be more respectful of the environment, but I have a different view of time. It doesn't have to be completed by tea time next thursday.

With Holland's tax raise, they didn't all move to London. Depardieu went to moscow. I'd imagine he's back since the tax regime was improved for him, but Putin welcomed him as a Russian citizen. Must be a bit embarassing for him now. Although any man who can drink 6 bottles of wine a day before moving onto the brandy is man to be reckoned with.

I think the EPL will go the way of Macron's tax levies on the rich also. But we have to wait for it to happen and the spectre of Labour (not Tony Blair's labour sadly) is not an encouraging one. Let's hope James Bond comes back to deal with this 'spectre' business once and for all.

Gotcha (at least partly), I hadn't heard that. Currently seems to be a bit of buying into the close. Whether banks are honest or not, they do their best to make money, so I see the UBS accumulation as positive also.

CS had a bad run of bad decision making (management) for sure. Although there is no honour amongst thieves, what do we know about honour amongst financial institutions? I'd have thought it's like asking Turkish 'What do you know about gypsies', "I know they're not to be trusted"!

UBS 'onboarded' CS with some sugar from the Swiss government. That's a time where we could be about to see a raft of modifications to Basel III regulations on how much capital banks have to hold in reserve (that'll put the kaibosch on a lot of lending). Not yet clear that UBS are 'all over it'. As with most things, time will tell.

As a point of interest, we have not yet hit the RI price. It was discussed here during the RI. Most if not all RI end up with open market SP hitting or exceeding to the downside the ex-RI SP. Are we about to see that? Very interesting. I may buy more next week, but we'll have to wait and see. Probably won't telegraph my trades with a +1!

I just neutralised my 1 share, that gets me back to where I was (-1) before selling at around 548/549). I have that as an advantage of about 32p plus a profit on the shares. I'd buy more if it dropped from here, but I suspect it won't.

I agree with that Modestus. Just have to keep waiting and watching now, the decline has been relentless as stated in the title. There was some discussion of the rise that 'always' occurs Jan-Feb. That didn't happen this year and I suspect we were robbed of that by the EPL. Just a waiting game now. Big opportunity cost, but a waiting game. Fingers crossed we'll get a good rise. Can't help thinking that HBR need to buy ENQ to give them the tax credits, then invest more and more elsewhere (indonesia/GoM?). For my money, now is the wrong time to drop out, but no-one can see into the future and there could be more pain to come. I still have 14p in mind.

I've been out, but did set a speculative buy at 520. Reasoning was that the price I had for the break up from a rough diamond 'bottom' (we'll see about that I guess) was around 518. I bought my one share back so it should be visible. A 514 close (or above) would be comfortable. I'd happily buy a few more if I saw something in the chart to warrant it.

We're at 525 or so now. Will be interesting, but it doesn't look obvious it'll turn up immediatley. Might see 520 or so. I'll not buy anything back until I see evidence of a turn and I have to go out so it'll happen while I'm out of course. But then again that's the old ghost of FOMO talking.

I don't eat weetabix, maybe that's why I never seem to move away from useless!
