That's interesting, I've had a post removed. There was nothing naughty about it, it was just an update on the chart showing the price continuing to bang up against the zero lag 200eMA. How weird. Can't think of any reason that could have broken any rules. Long and short of it, without a chart this time, is that the price is still banging against the MA.

0.5 p off b/e for me now. Good lord this one didn't go well. Thankfully it looks as if I'll at least be able to limit losses!!

I'm really bored, I don't use a credit card and I looked up the average credit card interest rates in the UK. I was shocked. It looks like Usury, but people are piling up their credit. How can anyone afford that?

Must come as some relief Chilting. Massive rise so far, and one that I sadly sat and watched from the sidelines. Not really sure what to do with it now. Hope you make some money.

I saw this morning that interest rates on credit cards in the US average almost 21%. Inflation is stubbornly high, and interest rates are being raised both in by the US Fed and, for the the sake of simplicity the BoE. As the interest rates rise, the cost of debt increases (cars/houses etc for the retail sector), the interest rate on credit (cards) increases, and the hope is that inflation comes down. But jobs are being lost as Import/exports are dropping (China/US/Europe) so money is flowing out of the discretionary markets. POO is linked to productivity/imports/exports so it's being pushed down. Our politicians have introduced a weird and damaging EPL that hits the oil industry in the NS and us as investors. It seems to me that now is not the time to party overlooking West Bay in Dorset (metaphor in case it's not obvious).

Price dipped there to 610. If you look at the weekly chart it suggests possible buying activity could come in around 600. All speculative based on TA alone. Silver/Gold prices obviously an important factor and they are currently weak. I've no position but am waiting to enter.

We've hit 612. That's a very likely support area from Jan - Feb 2022. Worth watching here for a swing to the upside. Either a speculative entry with stops below 610 (factor your spread in too) or wait to see evidence that's going move back to the upside. Interesting price now. But silver and gold showing significant weakness that could continue down from here.

I'm very grateful not to have been involved in the value destruction part of that, but it would clearly have been profitable to have become involved in it after the RI and despite it looking like a failing business (mainly a TA perspective), it's given a huge return on it's rise from the ashes.

Let's hope we get a good return here.

Depends a bit on how you look at things, company specific, process related, international news related everyone has a different favourite and sometimes the favourites change with circumstance/time. Classic response to what I'm going to post here is 'that's not related to TUI' or 'this is different'. But, if you're motivated to stretch your thinking a bit, change favourites? Then this might interest you. There are other examples, this was pretty random, but something I was watching that thought might in fact go bump. Obviously, with a different mindset I could have made money here. I've learned/crystalised a lot from our discussions and now feel emboldened around RI's (that'll probably cost me one way or another).

Here take a look at the daily chart from Aston Martin, their money raise happened a fair bit earlier than ours. I'll post the ASTN chart in the next post, sorry but I used different consoles for different things so can't do it in this post.

For what it's worth, I've started adding back what I previously sold. I'm getting 197 or so at the moment.

Agreed mas, the way people expect everything and expect it now and are happy to spend money they don't have on things they don't need is shocking. I watch it happening around me and keep thinking there has to be a time of reckoning for all of this, but it never seems to come.

Not a wrinkly yet, but have been around long enough to have seen a lot of stuff.

Well how interesting is that. For the moment the SP remains in a bottoming pattern on the daily chart, but remains in a bullish trend on the 2h chart. That inconsistency just relates to the trend on the daily being reasonably close to switching to bullish. The SP is now stuck under the zero lag 200eMA which is falling. The SP has banged up against that for the last 4 days (this being the 4th). Although the price has not closed the gap to 565 (it bounced off the top of it (2h chart) it does look to be in a really interesting position (there is a still a good chance of downside to fill those gaps, but nothing is certain in life except death and taxation). However, if the SP could close above the zero lag 200eMA, I can't help wondering whether it will behave as if it's a greyhound freshly released from the traps. I remain bullish, expect much higher SP, but will continue to do my best to exploit the swings. GLA

Well, we're very close to the 565 mark now and it looks pretty well inevitable that we'll hit or exceed that. The really interesting thing will be whether we get down to the 525 or 517 levels. That is not impossible. Like you Stille, I've not sold any shares, but am trading around these movements.

Looks likely to drop to 565 or even the 525 and 517 areas to me. However, no-one can see into the future and TUI looks undervalued for the moment so I'm not planning on dropping any shares.

Mike, that's no surprise. Holding risk over a weekend is risky All good, all normal. But rules are rules and the experts are very disciplined

Right, we've done what needed to be done from a TA perspective. So from now, it's worth watchgin for a long entry in my view (which is worth no more than anyone elses view as, just like anyone else, I cannot see into the future; MB can apparently!!)
