No Stebo. Hardly a soul could sell at 27p. Big debate at time but fell back to normal Friday trade levels directly. Nothing to do with any LTH selling. Was a UT for big players and PI trading not available for usual punters unless you wanted to sell at 21p or less pronto on Monday. Speedie is right those spikes ain't for you or I. Which doesnt negate that mid term it's all positive.

Surely the lesson of the last GDXJ buy in needs to be learned. We traded at 22p odd all day on that Friday. Hit UT 27p after hours. 100s of posts over weekend then saying "this is it, no way you will be able to buy under 30p on Monday, blah blah blah". Those of us that said hold on it will not hold this NT were shouted down, but proved right as it lasted about a minute on opening and then fell right back. Recovered a week on to 23-24 odd I recall. But isn't that the precedent here. See what "normal" trading is like Friday overall and judge from there? Obviously this analysis ignores a rabbit out of hat with Scally results being released and positive next Monday AM.

Thanks JD. Yes appreciate most all of that, and agree that's why put in the first smaller investment. Was just interested as part of ongoing due diligence as to:
A) Date permit applied.
B) Normal expected response time.
C) Any previous experiences of similar precedents and/or delays.
And hence can gauge the scale of delay so far etc.
Fully appreciate that with the known pieces it's likely to be now that the best buy ins are available. Eg before the permit lands. But before thinking of committing the kind of funds I have to the other two I mentioned was just interested to check others understanding of the above points. I take with pinch of salt all BB comments, good or bad. But did see comments I believe on ADVFN of history of delays even pre Covid? So wanted to check others views.

I raised a post as a new investor a week ago asking if any LTHs had info on the original expected timescales for the permit etc. See detail in Mon 7/12... As yet no responses? I have as mentioned a small buy in already here, and funds to add more. But Africa is a concern, so before deciding to go further here, or add to in theory safer existing larger investments in HZM and GGP (as obvious alternatives for me currently) would be interested in a bit more substance than... it will happen .... or is that not possible in this location & it has to be a sit on hands and hope?

I think that reports of GGP demise may be premature personally.... An Equiv 4.2Moz initial MRE from only <50% drilling areas is pretty much what sensible investors thought. The uber rampers were on about 10Moz plus true. But I don't listen to them personally. There was never going to be anything but a conservative first cut. Other similar initials of 4ish have seen to grow to 25+. There is every good chance that will be the case here since all 4 main drill areas open at depth still, and as said only under 2 reporting in the initial. They also have Scally results plus a rerate on GDXJ to come in near future. So yeah not the crazy numbers yet that the big ramp crews promised. But a really good base IMO. Put it this way I hold now 2.725 Mill there and now 11.355 Mill here. Belive in both, and am not currently looking to sell either. So no panic in either area for me. Lets see come about Feb time where both shares are. My money - literally - is on both doing very nicely. Rgrds.

There you go Lethal. Several opinions to look at, and to make your call on. I presented some facts on what has occurred last 12 months here in my experience. Others major on the potential it will turn round.
With 2 million reasons I hope their vision and not my past data are correct. Due to that past I am stuck here, but you with a lesser commitment, and also pertinently other now far more proven alternatives,have more choice I respectfully suggest. I said my piece without prejudice as I wish someone had been more honest with me on this one a year ago. I didn't due due diligence myself and that's my bad as I said But I guess the main point is that investing - and I have done that on the main markets since 1985 reasonably. Is partly; the hope things will come good, that someday some potential may flower etc.

But it's also about some fundamentals that give this a push up. Like in the case of GGP circa last year - a JV with a local major (Newcrest). They with an in need local processing plant, and most importantly the start of some good grades at a viable location being uncovered. Catch the wave on this early... the 1.6p area I got in at, and you have at least reduced the high failure odds on most metal exploration companies by some factor...

Similarly with HZM. They bought 2 undeveloped, but proven tier 1 Nickel mines when right out of favour. Had therefore lots of expensive and lengthy work done by others. Had a smallish but key backer moneywise (Orion), and again at 2p or so if you could add in potential for one mine at least to produce for EV. Than again it's slightly derisked and was offering a clue to the legup it may eventually see perhaps? More monies needed for sure now still. But ducks starting to align a year ago and now growing stronger I hope.

These examples were some due investigations back then that pointed at least a little of the way perhaps. ROCK is maybe, & as our friends have said much further back but perhaps has some threads that may lead to a similar conclusion. Maybe I have missed them (& hope I have). But even now not personally seen such "clues" thus far. Nor can it be said has the only judge that matters. The Market. So case of pays your money and takes your choice then. If you are "new" then please be very aware that there are those who are very deep underwater in this share. Myself included. 2 million bought avg anout 1.8p. So some, not me, will tell you anything about a climb to 2p etc. The truth is that ROCK need to find some decent grades, that are minable and marketable. To date absolutely nothing that's sustainable sadly I can relate. You will be sold a lot of tales of the potential here by the other underwater investors, day trades or fantasist. But that's the truth is so far any decent depth/width commercial hits are desperatly lacking. Can it work, yes. The odds are v much against. It's not even an opinion. Mr Market doesnt lie and at barely only 0.7 of a penny now tells the truth. Liquidity is awful on the two occasions it's gone near or over 2p fyi as its been sold into by day traders viciously and tumbled back. So no chance to sell higher as some here try and peddle. I know as I have tried... The people who say otherwise are either blind optimist or disingenuous traders frankly. These are the facts. I invested 40k in Dec 2019 and it has been a nightmare. I had GGP at 1.6p and HZM at 2p then. But wasted funds here. Look them up, where would I be now... as you will see one has gone mad. The other IMO will v soon once final funding on x2 tier one mines completes. But even with out this both massively up. This share is a total wing and prayer. If that's your thing by all means invest. I was new to AIM then by own admission and didn't research deep enough here v much lesson learned. Fortunately GGP now, and HZM going foward makes up for this many times over. I hope you don't go down a similar rabbit hole here mate. Rgrds.

Wasa. For all the reasons you state. Last top up here today, as promised myself to keep my Avg under 5p here. Now hold 11.35 Mill at Avg 4.97p. That's it it's an investment based on principles we agree on and fact. If this is (according to T*ss P*t & offer nothing poster NT1 then .... let it swing !)... I will now sit quietly and watch with interest what occurs. Rgrds all. Strumm.

Relative newbie to AIM. But long term investor generally. On AIM front been in GGP since mid 2019. A pretty fortuitous first go on the alternative market has to be said of course. Since then invested in a basket case (ROCK). But also hold now a pretty large stake in HZM (as DJ knows from that board). Which I really see going places personally. Though also coincidentally waiting on big impacting news. But on his tip researched more also on GRL and took a small (260,000 share) position earlier today. Probably bought a spike I know. But unlike ROCK (total punt and a bad one), GGP (say no more), and HZM (IMO a positive chance winner also). See this one as a "let's see". There seems debt here, and its Africa. But some flippin good grades if that EP ever comes out to go at. The 2x100k, 1x50k and 1x10k share buys around 10am are mine. That gives me on current shares issued a little 0.1% investment here. Nothing compared to many LTHs I know, and not rivaling say my HZM. But a start. Will review with interest regularly, as with GGP and HZM going fowards. Cheers DJ for tip and GLA. Rgrds Strumm.

When HZM finds its place in the sun (as it surely will) this pretty educated board doesn't end up like GGP today... its embarasing, that on hitting 30p a share its now full of endless back slapping posts rather than what needs doing to further drive it...its as if they will dig out the gold for c*rist sake. I hope this doesnt descend into that here, and am confident it wont with the majority here so grounded. I said no more posts from me after the T*as P*t.... Notready1 critic at the weekend. I note bte hes had f* all to say positive since then ...as usual... But just a final post from me even so to say thank you so much to a multitude of people who offered support. I value people I will never meet for being so kind, so couldn't but respond to them at least. So thanx. Just to say while GGP going ballistic, and I do gain big time there. Added more to HZM last 2 days... as still see this as the future v much as well. 11.14 mill now for me and may add more (Sorry if d*ck swinging NR1, but frankly showing confidence and don't care what you hink). HZM board. Reflected on today after a couple of beers and decided this media is not for me. I have invested in shares since 1985, only for <2 years in AIM as said before. But the frankley contribute nothing deliberately confrontational idiocy from Notready makes this board resemble GGP on a bad weekend. It's not for me. I post honestly and perhaps too much heart on sleeve granted. When I tell you I hold 10.95 Mill and am committed, it's my word. I am a 6ft 4, 15 stone ex union centre from... NE1 a state school... In 50s now but still pretty fit. I am also an ex ELO 2050 rated Chess player, so like good analysis I see here. So I would be most interested to see in some types a pub (if sadly they still were available). N be equally happy to "discuss" things with Mr NotReady..... but to be honest I prefer to read interesting input from the 80 year old little lady with a view on a share. I will always give her more time. So I say it's a shame that mouthy types force others away. But good luck to wasa, DJ, NofTR, luke, Bwana & so many other good people on this board. I have nil agenda other than being open and exchanging views with like minded types but this sh*te puts me off. So will continue to read the boards but post no more. In 35 years investing I listened to others, but - the one truism the plonked said - had to make my own calls. A genuine good luck to all HZM holders. Happy to be so. No interest in keyboard warriors with nothing to say but criticise others. I have no compulsion or need to post anywhere. But choose to do so occasionaly mainly on this board due to the quality of posters and the usually very erudite inputs. But there is always a few exceptions.

Notready. A thought. I did say you had two reasonable options. Ignore thread or filter those involved. But a 3rd comes to kind reviewing you post history. Put up an interesting topic that's relevant to discuss, and the likely the other threads soon either on the vine....try it sometime maybe?

My apologies Notready if you don't like that open style. It's designed to illustrate, i had hoped & with real world numbers the issues all face with; when to slice or reinvest. The problems establishing relative merits of any growth v any other etc. By the responses (yours aside) most recognise the quandary, whether they hold 50 or a million shares in something shouldn't be relevant. Maybe to appease you I should have said I have 10 of these & 5 of these worth about the same blah blah. You of course have a choice with a thread that doesn't interest you. Skip over it. Or simply filter those posting and responding if you dislike their views. If you filter you certainly wont miss my comments clearly. But that takes out Wasa, DJ, Bwana etc. Down to you mate to do as you please, as it's an open forum. Cheers.

Hi Bwana. Clearly sensible advice thanks. Only flaw (and with all investing and relative weightings), is that, on present evidence it's not clear at all if 6 months or a year on GGP or HZM will out perform. One can make a case for either. Originally I held 7.7 Mill GGP and about 500k HZM as a sideline really but progressively wanted to slice the huge and ongoing gains in GGP to give monies to kids and also divest into another exciting area (here mostly). The balance now is as in my post, and on current value fairly evenly spread as you can see. 2.9 Mill @price 25p GGP v 10.95 Mill @price 6.8p HZM. There lies the quandary. Stick now or twist one way or the other. I can see equally good cases & with both going to plan GGP v high north of 25, equally HZM similar on the current 7ish.... not really looking for advice per say as obviously no one can really say with any certainty. More seeing if others on this very grounded forum suffer similarly really. Killing time waiting ( in this case) for JM to add more detail I suppose. But as said if I do go the HZM route funds out of GGP allow me also to explore as well the likes of GRL, ITM, IKA and so on.. Cheers mate.

REF The discussion earlier about poor volumes. As some may know GGP hit more uplift today partly on new index IIs buying in big during day and after hours (4.6 Million trades after close isn't peanuts at 25p), and new indexes adding in anticipation of MRE, new fields assay results etc. As anticipated climbing 9% odd before leveling. Whilst we still traded a v weak 3 million, & if you believe the numbers (I don't unless I analyse them, 1.8 to 1.3 sells to buys - but perhaps indicative). Nonetheless was hovered over sell for a decent few on GGP when bid hit 25.38. Would translate to a good ratio of HZM again at the stumbling high 6s we managed. But somehow couldn't bring myself to do it. I also, on DJ tip had designs to fire some GGP funds at maybe "testing" GRL. As that, like HZM is that now a bit flat lining. Down sub 8 today and at anything under that (7.8 now), looks a possible calculated punt. But for today at least didn't sell any GGP, for now. I have no idea if holding on was a good call, & with mid term belief here & 10.95 Mill in bank at 4.9p Avg came down on side of letting GGP (2.9 Mill at 4.4p Avg) ride...as said for now. Have no idea what is right or wrong to be honest as agonized off n on all day. But frankly if JM could put me out of my misery one way or tother sometime in Dec it would be appreciated. ;-) ATB.

Very much agree NotR. As in recent discusions the volume here is just so weak daily. Out of interest tried a few dummy sells yesterday via iweb and could only get NT on anything more than 5000 shares in afternoon. Pathetic current interest and shows no current buying appetite crazily. Really needs a kick of news input to get it moving. Totally brilliant prospect, but with likely recession looming this needs to move up on confirmed funding news ASAP in my opinion. Or risk to get left behind. I am tempted to sell a bit more GGP to get my holding to 11 Mill+ here, as on 10.95 Mill currently and still do very much like the look of a buy in at prices high 6s etc. But then again they are also due big news so that could project upwards the current 23p skywards.. Hard one to call. ATB.
